I think we might be.

We have good depth on both lines. Really good depth in the secondary.

Hurts doesn’t seem to like WR3, but he did seem to trust Covey who should be back soon.

I don’t see any realistic trade targets who would materially help the team. Thoughts?

Carl Granderson for a 6th

3 sacks on the season

Had 1.5 against the Eagles

Only 27

6'5" 260 lbs

Could be a nice addition to the DL rotation

Huff and Smith are coming around finally

Hunt not ready for the fray

Graham probably retires

Howie get it done

Pipe dream would be Garrett but I doubt it happens

Would be awesome, but not sure Howie would be willing to put up a 1st and 2nd round pick in 2025 to get it done. Probably wise to not get into a bidding war in that scenario.

Intriguing is the possibility of them willing to accept 2026 picks in such a trade.

Yes. Move along

Could still use a bonerfied pass rusher.

Id see if there are any takers on Jordan Davis for picks, I really liked JD but hes being out snapped every week by ojomo and Booker has shown he can be just as effective for a cheaper price tag.

A NT that only plays 20 snaps a game is fine but when that dude is a top 15 pick one expects a whole lot more

I’m conflicted to be honest.

For the most part Howie hasn’t made very good in year trades. Most years he trades for a guy who has previous production but who has dropped off recently. Every year we are hopeful that the player will find their form and most of the time they don’t.

If Howie were to trade for a true star then that would be exciting. A Crosby, Garrett or hell Parsons (not going to happen I know) would make a huge difference to this team.

But then with that said I’m not sure this is a team that can win the SB. I think we still need to see more and so is trading away the farm to get a stud the right move? It’s a tough one.

Ideally you would always want that one more pass rusher but the reality is there´s not going to be much value out there. Garrett and Crosby are obviously fine players who you could see being available but some team is going to massively overpay for them. I think the Eagles should just sit tight. If they get any decent offers for fringe players they should consider them but not feel a sense of urgency to make deals just because they are on the table

I hope we stand pat.  Howie's record of dealing picks for players that prove to be worth the cost is not good.  Keep the picks ... use them to add talent on cheap rookie contracts next April.

EDIT:  I should specify dealing picks at the trade deadline.

It's not like a team is going to part with Garrett or Crosby for a Howie 3rd or 4th round pick. With Garrett, I'd be shocked if he didn't cost 2 first round picks. Crosby would be cheaper but still more valuable than a single 1st round pick (especially the way the Raiders draft). I don't think that would be overpaying for either guy, but we currently have a lot of significant contracts and this team needs to continue to try to draft well to offset those to remain competitive year after year.

Team needs help on the D-line.

Three 5ths next year? You know one of those things is burning a hole in Howie’s pocket.

I don´t disagree, but the number of teams interested in those players, Garrett in particular, is going to lead to a bidding war. It´s definitely a seller´s market and whichever team gets him is going to have to give up an enormous amount

You would be that excited huh?

Howie's trade deadline moves almost never work out. Jay Ajayi was earlier in the season, and an outlier. He usually throws away a decent pick for bums that don't play or don't make a difference.

Keep the picks.

If trading away picks, it would be better long-term use to use in trade up on draft day for higher picks for better premium players on rookie deals. Howie's trade deadline moves for bums and JAGS hasn't made much difference.

Look at the situation where Cooper DeJean fell and he used ammo to trade up.

Fans are often obsessed with all these trade scenarios and then complain on draft day they don't have enough picks.

Garrett would cost a kings ransom in picks and would likely ask for a restructure with some new guaranteed money as soon as he arrived. There are some stories out of the Browns fanbase about Garrett's part in Mayfield being run out of town for the Houston Masseuse botherer, that make me wonder about how he is as a locker room presence as well.

Build through the draft.

The only player that I think would be worth giving a pick up for is Ojulari but there is no way the Giants would trade with us.

Stand down, Howie. Don't go anywhere near a phone.

Our trade deadline player is already on the team which is Dotson, and so far the return hasn't helped the team.
