So what’s the problem of walking out and getting a 5yard delay of game penalty to protest the wrong call..maybe they look at it again…maybe the delay gets New York involved…

Huh it was reviewed. There is no review do over

Atlanta..ring a bell…that was all about situational awareness at the end of that game..you don’t throw the ball..he almost cost us todays game.

mind you..we got our first first quarter points in the 9th week..coaching…

Games, he said games.... and again, why is the coach getting blamed for a routine catch that was dropped. Barkley dropped 1 today and didn't run to get the 1st down twice today. You can't just blame 1 without the other.

The call was made with a review never in the history of this current review rule have they changed their minds.

It was more than just the drop. He could have kicked a fg in that game as well

I can play the "could have" game too... it could have been blocked... Jake could have missed. It was a perfect play call not executed by the players. It's as simple as that.

You're entitled to your opinion.  Yes it could  have been blocked. Chances are it wouldn't have been.  Yes Barkley should have caught it.  No it wasn't all Nick's fault for losing that game.  You asked for examples of which games you think he cost them. It's a pattern for him that people do not like.  There's nothing wrong with just taking the 3 points sometimes in my opinion.

Q: Riddle me this.... when does a win not feel like a win?
A: When it's the Philadelphia Eagles nearly blowing another
huge lead, and need a miracle to win a game they should
have put away in the 3rd quarter.

It cracks me up that Eagles fans always expect the other team to roll over and die. Jacksonville may not be having a great year, but all those players on their team are NFL players and they know their coach is on the hot seat as well. Some may not appreciate it, but there was good effort by both teams and it got uncomfortably close. But we came away with a win without some questionable call in our favor to secure it. We currently have the 3rd best win percentage in the NFC and the 6th best in the NFL. I won't be up all night crying about a 5 point win.

There is a time and a place for going for two and being aggressive to get points. When you have the game well in hand is not the place or the time. It's kind of like when we tried to salt the clock in the Atlanta game with a 1 score lead.

Glad we got the win. They need to reign Siri in on stuff like this when it's isn't needed. He wasted a lot of points today. Game shouldn't have even been close.

Let’s face it, we should’ve lost this one. We’ll take the win, but all the good they did in the first half was washed away with Nicks terrible decisions, bone headed Barkley, and a D that softened up for a good stretch.
It’s a win, but a step back imo.

Should have lost? How? They scored 7 with a controversial call and we made stupid decisions.

We should have scored 36 points but the idiot did his thing and let the jags back in. shouldn't have even been close

I'm willing to let him redeem things, but to do that he has to recognize his failings and work to correct them. I've always disliked when teams are so quick to fire a coach, even a failing coach if that coach can turn things around. But patience only goes so far. He has to remedy things. Leaving 8 (or was it 9) points out there was almost fatal. Against a better team, it would have been.

But hasn’t he done this before? And he’s had chances to redeem himself and he keeps making the same mistakes. He had the humility in 2021 to give up play calling and that was honestly such a good sign. Well he should be doing the same with him making big decisions in game because he’s just horrible with it.

Just looking at the instances today where Sirianni 'left points on the board'

The 4th down and 3 they were always going to go for it. They had their chance to put their foot on the throat by converting, the defender made a great play on the ball that was going to hit AJ in the hands for a completed pass. The Jags weren't moving the ball offensively and another TD would have broken them completely.

On anything that is from the 1 yard line Sirianni has shown he will go for 2. They have a play that converts 9 out of 10 times in that situation, the first one looked like it broke the plane on the review, the shoddy crew decided it didn't (the first of two extremely poor reviews) and the second they just didn't get the push. The third 2 point conversion attempt was also a no brainer, there is 0 difference between a 12 and 13 point game, but there is when it is 14 points. 95% of coaches in the league would be going for 2 in that situation.

The other 4th down they should have stuck to their guns and ran the sneak, they tried something else to see if they could catch the D out of position but after they were stopped twice inside he didn't back himself and that is the one that I guess should be questioned for the play choice rather than going for it on 4th.

He did send Elliott out for the 57 yarder, which he has generally been pretty clutch in his career from outside 50. He hasn't made a FG on a 50+ yard attempt this year over 50 yards and he seems to be in a funk. It feels like a lot of kickers have been having success from long range this year, he tries to get the points and back the D in who had played pretty well.

Unless you are delusional…a Win is a Win. With hiccup here and there the team played well.and we won.
F referees. They messed up and almost cost us the game.
But we won. Off to Dallas we go for another spanking onto the cow pukes.

Go Eagles.

So look I think the problem with the decisions is that every one failed and at some point I think as a HC you have to just realise that taking the points is the smart move.

Each decision in isolation is okay but they all build up and every single one didn’t work out and that’s the issue.

I agree the first 4th down decision is what this team is and Sirianni is going to go for that every time. The XP decisions were just bad though. At one point he literally took a point off the board to go for 2 when there was simply no need. In doing that he then had to go for the others because he was trying to play catch up. Sometimes I think you just have to take the points on offer. He has to understand momentum and just ticking the scoreboard along.

The 4th and 1 late in the the third was just flat out bad. Firstly the Jags had momentum so at that point you need points to just wrestle some of that away. But the play call to not go brotherly shove? And to go for some ridiculous PA play? It was diabolical.

And then having been so aggressive to try a 57 yard FG attempt? With a kicker you’ve ignored since the quarter? Ridiculous. He has no feel for the game and that’s the problem.

It is Myles Garrett blocking an Elliott FG attempt that is then returned for a TD.

Jacksonville is HORRIBLE. YES- I expect them to roll over and DIE. The Eagles kept giving them confidence- at EVERY critical moment. If it wasn't for that Nakobe pick, this team loses a 22 point lead to a scrub team. Some people just can't face REALITY. This team cannot be trusted, period. It's on SIRI, and until they get rid of him, this is what you will ALWAYS have. They are on a winning streak AGAINT BAD TEAMS- oh yay. Put them up against a playoff team and watch Siri blow call after call.

Brkmsn and TRAVELER VIC are living in Eagles fantasy land. They think Siri is god and the Eagles are the Chiefs. 🤣🤣🤣💩

Give me an aggressive winning coach over a losing conservative coach any day.

Their record is horrible, but they're not as bad as Carolina lol. They've lost 5 games this year by 5 points or less, so it's not like they're getting blown out each week.

Honestly, if the Refs weren't so awful, then Nick's mistakes don't look as costly. But he definitely needs to be lectured on leaving points on the field. He's become as bad or worse than Campbell with his aggressive calls.

Eh, I don't mind aggressiveness, but coaches need to be smart too. Detroit would've been in the SB last season if Dan Campbell wasn't so aggressive.

A few observations:

Baun was good, particularly in the early parts of game.  He dialogued the plays well and came up to the contact points to tackle.

Barkley was good, except the fumble.  The long rushing TD was well executed that caused the OC running to Siri to celebrate.  Wonder that play was a special that they jointly devised or called it in that situation.

3 trials on 2-pt conversion and failed to score!  Siri seemed to use the real game situations to practise the plays.  The sneak play does not work very well when it is more than 1 yard to go.

The front 4 DL did not generate enough pressure on Lawrence.  When he had time to throw, our secondary could not stop the passing attacks, which let them back in the game and stayed close.

Missing the FG at the end was bad.  Luckily it was saved by Dean's INT.  With a large margin in total yards, the game was much closer than the stats.  You may even say it was a lucky win.
