To the point where I recall seeing us score in the 3rd quarter (pretty sure it was a brotherly shove) and I remember turning to my friends and saying "well we all know how this game ends… Eagles win”. Now sure I was wrong but that game was fairly close until the 4th quarter. It was 28-13 in the 3rd quarter ending up 42-19. The score may not have been a blow out right away but the niners were whopping their ass and never in any danger of losing it.

I mean....if Hurts doesn't take that stupid sack it would have taken some pressure off the defense. Chances are the Niners still win, but that knocked the air out of crap. I want to say something else happened on the Eagles first drive, but I could be wrong it's been a year.

Feels like there is more control, they are more balanced on both sides of the ball (and on the sidelines). If there´s a team I´d look at now and be a bit worried about, I´d be looking at Kansas City. They are very lucky to be where they are right now I agree, but KC has earned the right for the benefit of the doubt. 3 SBs under this regime gives them that. BUT.....

We may even have been closer at one point. I do distinctly remember us scoring to make it closer and thinking we were going to come back again (because at the time we were coming back from 10 point deficits on the regular).

Chiefs have much better coaching than we had that year, a really good defense and Mahomes. i agree they are vulnerable, but I don’t expect a collapse and wouldn’t be surprised if they won it all again. Hopefully someone knocks them off!

The whiners had that game circled and had spent 10 months game planning and preparing for it. I'm sure they had trophies made.

It was a close first quarter too I seem to recall? We couldn’t get anything going on offense but we were shutting them down in the first quarter.

I may not be remembering correctly the. but, i dont think i recall ever truly being in it because of the offense. I think i even turned it off at one point.

I don't like Hurts having slow starts all the time, and will never like Siri as head coach, but I now have hope for the D, and the offense has so many weapon, they have some life to them. A lot of stuff to clean up before the playoffs. After going 10-1 and THEN dying.... I still take it 1 game at a time with this team. A substantial factor in last year’s collapse was the abominable schedule. Each of the first three Eagles post Bye opponents came into the game with 10 days rest/preparation. It was a factor in, but not a reason for, the team falling apart.

It felt a bit like the Chiefs this year actually and I wonder if that Bills loss for them will be our Niners loss? They aren’t convincing anyone really. The difference was that the 49ers loss was a beat down. The Chiefs loss to the Bills was not.

And the Eagles-Seahawks game was also the first-ever (and still only) flex into Monday Night Football. That likely had to affect the Eagles heading into the following week as well.

I understand what you are trying to say, but I don't believe in making excuses. I just don't. It should never have happened. You are a professional, paid millions of dollars to DO YOUR JOB. No excuses. It should have never been allowed to happen. That team (a lot of those players are gone) had no excuse. The only thing that bothers me a little is one of the people responsible is the head coach, and he is still here. That's troubling, so I don't fully trust them.
