The defense is genuinely impressive now, the secondary is as good as we've had in years and it's giving the D Line time to work.

I do think the Offense is testing defenses with different plays to see what they're running in the 1st few drives and that's why it looks so ineffective early, once they get through that period they look a lot better, that trick play was flat horrible though, none of the misdirections had time to catch the defenses eye so the rusher arrived at Hurts at the same time as the ball.

For a divisional game against a genuine play off contender that was a comfortable win, having an elite tailback to wear a defense and chew clock makes such a massive difference.

We're good enough to sweep the division and right now I'd take us against anyone, which is a big step up from before the bye.

Is it just me or is Dean looking better in coverage now? It certainly feels that way.

It's great to see rookies overcome their growing pains which can be so frustrating to watch. A lot of players are thriving right now. We have good linebackers? Finally!

Certainly looks like there´s some truth in that, and I think that´s fine against teams we should be beating. That would worry me when we take on the cream of the crop, though. Can´t afford to start slow in the playoffs, need to maximise every possession possible

Carter is literally wrecking games at the moment! He’s been so impressive. I know he’s impacting games but I guess you’d like him to get a few more sacks just to get the outside recognition that he deserves.

Interesting article in the Inquirer about how Lane has been advising him not to obsess about sacks but to essentially be the disrupter who sets up plays.

What's Dicker the Kicker been up to these days?

In case things get critical(er)?

I think he is with the Chargers

I think Jake is just rust, he doesn't kick off any more and we've had weeks like the Jaguars where we didn't let him kick many field goals even when we had the opportunity. There's no practise substitute for kicking in games with the pressure that brings. Also at some point he has to feel a pang of doubt no matter how often the coaching team say it's not you.

Much better for the anxiety levels isn’t it! And the blood pressure.

Good win that against a good team. Man this defense is legit! And with the weapons we have on offense most weeks that’s going to be enough. If this offense could get it together with more consistency then I mean this team isn’t just a SB contender but it may be the best team in the NFL.

A coworker of mine was talking about how Daniels was about to throw for over 400 yards (he’s a Commanders fan), but told him I doubt he even gets to 200 yards and sure enough this team shut him down. Heck you could say this team basically gave him a TD late, because when he scored the game was over.

Maybe this is why Sirianni kept going for two.

It makes you wonder. I am still scratching my head. How did Elliott miss so many kicks left?

Quite prossibly. I voiced my apologies to him and Fangio during the game

I think it’s actually really good advice. I think the sacks will come but actually even if they don’t he’s wrecking games right now.

I mean they did score late in the game and whilst I know it’s easy for us to say we gave them the TD I don’t quite think it was one of those situations. That gave Washington a very very small chance but they’ve had some things go their way this year so this defense was not just giving them garbage points at that time.

If they’re really concerned with Elliott then they should be marching in kickers for tryouts.

I just think they went into a little bit of a shell and allowed the Commanders to run the clock out on themselves.

I think it was a little of both. The Eagles went a little softer on D, giving up short gains to let the clock run. The Commanders offense hadn't played completely up to par and still had some ammo left; kind of like the Eagles offense had done for the first 3 quarters. I admit Daniels didn't look right, medical kept looking at his hand on the sidelines. He wasn't slinging the ball like he had done most of the season. Those short throws on the closing drive was about all he could muster it seems.

That was the very definition of garbage time points. There was about 1 minute left in the game and Washington was down multiple scores.

8-2. Great victory.:Eagle_smiley:

Many fans should probably stop watching them in first half. That's when they lose their minds.

If the Eagles win against Dallas, Giants, and Panthers they will have 11 wins. If they go 2-2 against the Rams, Ravens, Steelers and Commanders they will be 13-4.

I think Daniels is a smidge overrated. He’s going to improve but come on, he’s getting way too much hype. He dinked and dunked like he usually does. His whole passing game was pretty much Ekeler and a little Ertz. No tight throws into windows, no deep balls, no difficult passes. It was very meh.

It's gotta be difficult making throws with a rib injury in fairness to him

It was difficult throwing to McLaurin, who spent most of the game blanketed by Q. McLaurin is 3rd in receiving yards and got all of 10 yards yesterday on one catch off Slay.

Unlike that other whiny team who wants to punch their kicker when he misses a few kicks, on this team everyone says "we got your back" and play even harder.

Hopefully, 10 days off and a trip out to warm sunny California weather will help get his head straight. He was so upset, he clearly lost his focus and concentration. I hope he can rebound. Cause the Not For Long Rule could apply here.

I could not come in here and "watch the game" with you all last night. I have to get up 3:00am to go to work until 3:00pm today. But a recorded it and saw the awesome freekin D, and the Barkley TD's. That's ALL I need to see. Very unusual for the missed FG's and extra point, but he has been soooo clutch over the years....he has EARNED the right for us to back him when things go bad, and cheer him on until he gets back on track. That's my take on it.
