Reed went out with a concussion. Got really lucky that Mitchell was looking at his leg and was able to get it in the air before the helmet hit his knee.
December 2, 2024Dec 2 This defense is straight up ballin. The effort and will to win on every play is amazing. They are a fun group to watch. Making lifelong memories this year. This was the litmus test. You see teams owning bad teams all the time but how do they hold up against the best of the best. The Ravens got their jabs in but this defense showed out. I'll take this defense against any offense in the league. The scheme is good but what makes it really pop is the players. Their hard work and maximum effort is what really makes it shine. Kudos to the staff but many thanks to the players.

December 2, 2024Dec 2 I had completely forgotten that we'd played the Bengals. But I do remember not liking the all white that they wore.

But those 3 games are being played in Detroit. Eagles have tough games against the Steelers at the Linc and the Commanders in Washington. 4 out of 5 games left at home. Should be an interesting December. actually I don't know what the tie breaker would be if they loose just once to an NFC team...I thought the loss was to AFC but it was to Tampa...so maybe if we win out we need them to loose only once if it is NFC oponent? LIke if that would be Packers, wouldnt it help us regarding posible tie breaker since we beat Packers and both teams lost to Tampa? Anyway...if they just loose to Bills they will be No.1. seed for sure even if we win out

Based on procedure #2, Detroit currently has an advantage over us since our 2 losses are to NFC opponents. We each have 4 games remaining against NFC opponents so there is a chance we can at least even that (we would obviously need to take care of business and have them drop one of those games). If that does happen and we move on to procedure #3, this is where it gets a bit tricky. There are 3 common opponents that are outside the division (Jaguars, Rams Buccaneers) (we are both 2-1 in those games since we both lost to TB), and 2 additional (divisional) opponents (Packers and Cowboys). We both beat the Packers and Cowboys but we both have that 2nd game against each within the division. Detroit needs to lose 1 more game against an NFC opponent to move to procedure #3 and it would help if they lose to GB while we beat Dallas and that team would HAVE to be the Packers in order to create a tie for that procedure (if they beat GB then really the only hope is that they drop 2 more games than we do in the final 5 to be played).

In that scenario we would be even for tie-breaker #2 (games played within the conference). If they lose to GB and we win out, our record against common opponents (tie-breaker #3) would be Lions 3-2 (losses to TB and GB) and Eagles 4-1 (loss only to TB).

December 3, 2024Dec 3 Totally impossible after last years debacle, but here we are. The Eagles "took out the trash" from last year and brought in great coaches and rookies. It's a miracle it's working so well. Philly deserves it after last years agony.

They took out the trash and brought the DC to run this scheme properly. Oh and it helps that they drafted 2 studs in the secondary who have absolutely bossed it.

Definitely bringing in Fangio to run the defense and having lucked out in the draft to land both Mitchell and DeJean is huge to the turnaround defensively. So is the addition of Baun via free agency and the coaches getting both Carter and Davis to elevate their games to the next level (and can't forget Smith and Dean too). All of that collectively has led to the results we are witnessing.

I mean don’t get me wrong everyone involved deserves a pat on the back for getting these guys in but still! It shows right now the coaches and FO are on the same page.
December 6, 2024Dec 6 It's a great feeling to trust the defense again. Playing with intelligence, well coached and prepared, aggressive, fundamentals, physical, getting key stops, reclaiming momentum/killing their momentum. It's also FUN to watch the defense again. Q is shut down, Baun is great, Carter is a beast and the players around them are playing better. DeJean is flying around making plays everywhere he's awesome.
