After Thursday’s 34-27 game between the Broncos and Chargers, the Eagles have sole possession of the lowest ppg. The Vikings are now in second at 18.0. Shutting down the Commies on Sunday will almost surely extend their lead. Excellent timing.
December 23, 2024Dec 23 #1 defense gave up 22 points in the 4th quarter to an offense of nobodies. They also allowed them to drive down in minute to score and lose the game. Sonnds like this defense is overrated.
December 23, 2024Dec 23 Bad game by the defense, but it was an anomaly in a weird game. Flush it, on to next week. I would expect them to come out pissed, motivated and prepared to dominate Dallas next week.

That offense of nobodies is also 4th in points per game and had 5 turnovers against this defense. It's not like they coughed up the lead to the Giants, it sucks, but it was one of those weird games.
December 23, 2024Dec 23 the defense is only as good as the offense. i think washington is a bad match up for the defense straight up. if they cant play ball control with hurts and saquon than the defense will crumble as we saw yesterday
December 23, 2024Dec 23 Any news on Jordan Davis and Sweat. I know Sweat came back, so maybe he's OK.
January 6Jan 6 Author The Eagles had allowed 4,494 yards going into Sunday, and the 2nd-place Titans went into their game against the Texans having allowed 4,917, or 307 per game. That was a whopping 423-yard lead for the Eagles. The Dolphins (4,970) and Chiefs (4,972) were the only other teams under 5,000 yards. The Eagles wound up allowing 238 in their win vs. the Giants, while the Titans allowed 374 in their loss to the Texans. So the leaders look like this: 1. Eagles: 4,732 yards allowed, 278 per game. 2. Titans: 5,355 yards allowed, 315 per game. What’s remarkable about this defense is that it’s the youngest starting defense in the NFL and was ranked 26th last year in yards allowed at 356 per game. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The above taken from: https://www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/eagles-finish-nfl-top-number-one-defense-titans/640326/
