Hamstring for Devonta. My guess is 3-4 weeks.

So far, I feel like Smith has always bounced back quickly from injuries. If going off the others, Brown missed 3 games, Goedert missed 3, Mailata missed 4. But it wouldn't surprise me if Smith just misses this 1 or maybe a 2nd game.

It definitely gives Dotson, Wilson, A. Smith and hopefully Covey some additional opportunities.

Oh right, Covey is back

His practice window opened but he has not been activated yet.

When Smith or Brown aren’t available, they target Goedert more.  Feels like Dotson gets his one scripted play in the flat every week and nothing else no matter who is available.

Dotson is only getting 1-2 targets a game. He’s as much a part of the passing game as Gainwell is.

Making almost as good of use of the 3rd we gave up for him as the 3rd we gave up for Golden Tate.

Tate did have that catch in the playoffs though...

That's a trade we would like back.  Oh well.

They also got a comp pick back for Tate correct?

We still have Dotson for at least another season. I think we'll see his targets increase over time. WRs on this team get to learn a lot of tricks from Brown and Smith on becoming even better at the little things. Hopefully Dotson will get to work with Hurts in the offseason and develop a little more chemistry heading into 2025.

With Smith out and a little more familiarity and trust being established between Jalen and Jahan over the last several games, I'm hoping to see some more connection there in the passing game today. I don't expect 10+ targets or anything, but would like to see more than 2.

I still like it for depth purposes. He’s shown he’s more than capable of being a solid #2 WR. We’ll see

Even if he flops it wasn't much given up the Eagles can't overcome it.

Who needs a passing game when you have Saquon Barkley and that offensive line?

I still think Dotson will begin to contribute more, but there´s a lot of places for the football to go. I´m not too worried at this point, but hope they can get him a bit more engaged before the playoffs when every option counts

1 or 2 targets a game, not what they traded for.

Keeping it in context, there were only 22 passes. 7 targets for Brown, 5 for Goedert, 4 for Barkley, 3 were thrown away and one each for Dotson, Wilson, and Calcaterra. Obviously Dotson had another target and catch nullified for a penalty. We ran for over 300 yards. I'm not losing any sleep.

In 100% agreement...

I'd like to see Smith and Goedert be featured more.

Offensively we're very run-heavy at the moment. I've always been in favor of being "run-first." I believe right now on the season we are near 58% run. While philosophically I do believe the best split is 50/50, right now, we are having too much success to change. When this offense struggles, it is usually during those moments where we pass more than run. It seems like too many completed passes come back because of penalties and that puts us behind the sticks. Then there are moments like this:

Mailata is one of our best players and that was embarrassing for him. But you won't see anything like that when we run the ball. Right now, we demoralize teams with our run game. It wears out defenses, keeps ours rested and fresh, lowers the risk of penalties (impossible to have ineligible man downfield on a run) and keeps opposing offenses off the field, preventing them from getting into a rhythm.

The bottom line is that most defenses are built to defend the pass since most teams pass more than 50%. Right now there is a real opportunity for dominant run teams like the Eagles, Lions and Ravens to expose them --- and that's what we are seeing happen. It sucks, I guess, for any WR that is more obsessed with personal glory than team success --- but I believe all our players are "all in" with "team first."

Dotson gets manhandled and held up a lot. Not particularly fast or physical. Probably should’ve just revisited Pascal or OZ

Why should Dotson "be ready" when Hurts never looks his way.  Hurts RARElY gets to his 3rd read because he's so S-L-O-W at going thru his progressions.
