Sorry for the relentlessy positive post but this team is balanced and superb.

i’m not making any predictions. We all know the NFL and Any Given Sunday.

But credit the coaches, the players, Howie and Jeffery - this team is fun to watch and have beaten easily some good teams!

Right now we are in the top 3 in the NFL. I know KC has a better record. I know they are also the reigning back to back champs too. I know Minnesota have the same record as us right now. But neither of those teams are a patch on us. And we are very much up there with Detroit and with Buffalo.

This defense is legit. It’s top 3 in the NFL for sure.

This OL is dominant and has a RB who can feast on that.

The QB is level headed and calm. Sure he makes mistakes but he makes big plays in big spots and he’s looking after the football.

This team is fun and it’s having fun. And this team is beating up on people and it is flat out bullying teams. And let’s not forget the key to winning in the post season? A good defense and a run game.

If Hurts can play at the same level as the 2022 playoffs, this is the best team in the NFL by far. With Barkley and this defense, the whole team is way better than two years ago and it was almost enough to win it all.

We have to collectively pray for Health to our players.

We're probably right up there with Baltimore.

One game at a time.

The funny thing is, I feel like KC reminds me of the 2023 Eagles in so many ways. I can see them losing the top seed before the playoffs get here and then losing in the wildcard round to a team that plays well.

tomorrow's game against the Ravens is going to probably be the biggest test of the year up to this point.

The Eagles have never had a winning streak quite like this. Where the quarterback hasn’t been asked to carry the team. At least not since 1949. That was 75 years ago and it’s the last time the Eagles won seven games in a row without the QB throwing 30 passes in any of those wins. In the 1949 NFL

Championship season, the Eagles won eight straight after an 0-1-1 start, and quarterback Tommy Thompson never threw more than 24 passes during that span. Things have changed a bit since then. Hurts threw 34 and 38 passes in the Eagles’ first two wins this year, but since the Eagles truly committed to being a run-first team, he’s averaged only 21 pass attempts per game. That’s the lowest figure during an Eagles winning streak since Thompson averaged 17.6 back in 1949. For the sake of comparison, when the Eagles won eight straight in 2022, Hurts averaged 30 passes per game.

Carson Wentz averaged 30 pass attempts during the Eagles’ nine-game winning streak in 2017, Donovan McNabb averaged 35 passes during a seven-game winning streak in 2004 and Jaws was at 25 per game during an eight-game streak in 1980. Hurts isn’t being asked to carry the offense, but when he has thrown the football, he’s been terrific. Big throws at big moments, deep balls at a higher clip than any other NFL quarterback, running to move the sticks at the right time, avoiding mistakes and letting Saquon Barkley and the ground attack take over.

During the seven-game winning streak, Hurts has a 116.6 passer rating – 3rd-highest in the league behind Lamar Jackson, the Eagles’ opponent Sunday, and Jared Goff. He’s completing 70 percent of his passes with nine TDs and one INT. The only Eagles QBs with higher passer ratings over any seven-game span are Nick Foles in 2013 and Hurts himself in 2022. But it wouldn’t be fair to say he’s just managing games. He's thrown seven 40-yard passes during that span, 3rd-most in the league, and he’s averaging 8.3 yards per attempt, 4th-highest in the league. So he’s been aggressive, efficient and productive without a high volume of pass attempts. If that’s not a formula for winning, I don’t know what is.

I literally said to my partner the other day I think the Chiefs are the 2023 Eagles. They don’t impress me at all and if it wasn’t for the officials they’d have a few losses at this point. Unfortunately they do have the officials on their side and so they probably will be going back to the SB.

Kansas City is the new New England. Expect a 15 to 20 year run for Mahomes the way Brady had.

Defense and a solid run game serve well in the play. There’s been a few unfortunate injuries that has nagged this team all year. Hopefully they can find a way to lock up the one seed and rest their players, but I do also want them to get Barkley 2000 yards as well. Certainly that’s not over resting guys for the playoffs and eventual SB run, but it would be nice to see an Eagle in an all time record book for the season. This team no longer looks like that group that collapsed last season. These guys are resilient. This defense is legit. If they can stay healthy they can compete against any team.

The passing game is abysmal.  If they fixed that they would be unstoppable.

This team has won 8 straight and you’re acting like someone crapped in your cornflakes. 😂

As Foles demonstrated, you don't need to be amazing, you just need to have an amazing couple of games.  Foles looked horrible going into that 2017 postseason (as well as the first round) and then just went off 2 games in a row.

I’m starting to think Pittsburgh might be the best team in the AFC. They’ve always had a great defense and now their offense found their identity like we did. They just have a winning culture and great coaching staff.

Statistically Jalen actually hasn’t been bad. He just isn’t being asked to throw the ball 40 times a game. His numbers are in fact very similar to his 2022 season, but there are some differences. His completion percentage is up while his average pass yards a game are down. He currently has one less interception than he had that year. He played 15 games in 2022 so we will see if he plays more or less than that. He’s getting sacked at a higher rate this season though. He also already has more 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives this season. So even though Jalen isn’t being called on to throw for 400 yards and 35 attempts a game doesn’t mean he hasn’t been highly effective and efficient.

I can’t quite get a handle on Pittsburgh. Really good defense and a hot and cold offense. Wait doesn’t that sound familiar? They do have a great coaching staff and a winning culture so they are a real danger to anyone they play.

Jalen Hurts doesn't need to put up big numbers. But he does need to be efficient and move the chains. The passing game needs to be better for 4 quarters.

Hurts needs to be more consistent early on for sure… But he’s also making big plays in big spots and he’s a big part of why this team is winning right now. He’ll need to step it up come January but I do think there’s more to come from him.

He’s efficient enough to have 10 plus win seasons three consecutive years. He’s also had a 14 win season. Tell me what other Eagles quarterback has ever done that. I’ll wait.

Not too sure about that.  The biggest part of the Eagles success is  Barkley and the Defense.

I would say Hurts is the  weakest link on the offense. Our offensive lulls when we aren't moving the chains or putting up points is due to the lack of a passing game.. That  falls squarely on his shoulders cause hes not making the reads or making bad decisions that stalls drives,
