These slow starts are sure challenging the efficacy of my blood pressure meds but overall, this was a very, very good win.

We are at the point with 26 that a 100 yard rush day with a TD is a meh day. Lol

Keep winning

I was just talking to my other half and I said to her I honestly feel like right now this team is playing at about 60%! There’s more to come from this team (really from the offense) and that’s a scary thought for the rest of the league.

I'm a lot more calm because I know this team doesn't roll over and die.

I know overall the fans aren't in love with CJGJ's play, but last year we definitely missed a player like that who would "lead" the defense vocally after a bad series. It may not be his best season as a player, but his attitude is what was missed last season.

For sure when he pulled this defense together on the sideline after 2 Baltimore drives that was huge! That was a turning point because after that we gave them next to nothing. He’s one of the leaders and his energy is what drives this team.

I don't care how they start as long as they finish the game with a W.  It's the same thing with the freaking out about the Eagles streak of not scoring in the first quarter earlier in the season.  As far as that stat, was it not the great Tom Brady led dynasty Patriots that had a crazy long streak of not scoring in the first quarter of the Super Bowl? Didn't seem to hurt them very much since they won all those Super Bowls despite not scoring in the first quarter of many of them.   It's how you do in the whole game, the rest is just background noise.

You are absolutely right it is all about how you finish the game… But against the best teams we could get in to a hole that we can’t then get out of and that needs to be addressed.

Obviously, some of the issues with "scoring in the 1st quarter" are due to play-calling and/or execution early in the game, But many people overlook that we have primarily kicked off first in games this season giving us a little less time to work with in the 1st quarter. Today, obviously, that was not the case. But in the end, the game in it's entirety is much more important than 1st quarters.

I mean yeah they are a top 10 team but if we start like that against Detroit they’d be out of sight.

Meh i think this defense can handle them too. Also Detroit's defense isnt that great

Detroits defense is better than Baltimore though so I don’t think they’d let us back in to it write the same.

our defense is better than Detriots

And we did it with a depleted D-Line. Against King Henry.

this win is a pleasant surprise. I kind of wrote this one off. Glad they were able to pull it off.

I was definitely expecting a lot more out of the passing game against the 29th ranked secondary, regardless of Smith's absence.  Thank God that Barkley and the defense are both so damn good.

You people have too much fear and deal with too much hype of what other people tell you. Detroit is not better than Baltimore and they aren’t better than The Eagles of 21 or 22..let alone 24.

The Eagles ARE one of those teams that you are talkin about you are worried about. OTHER teams need to WORRY about The Eagles .Smh

Agreed. The passing game is just 'off' this season, so far. Not sure why though.

No it isn't.  Not anymore.  Detroit has lost too many players becayse of injury.

Hurts only threw 19 times today, and that's about average for him.  That's what most QBs throw per half.  The Eagles don't throw a lot.  But their passing is still highly effective.  Brown makes lots of big plays considering how few times the ball is thrown to him.
