I missed todays game. I cant believe how incredible this defense has been this season.

That coop tackles on Henry, o lawdddd!

I was definitely expecting a lot more out of the passing game against the 29th ranked secondary, regardless of Smith's absence.  Thank God that Barkley and the defense are both so damn good.

Same.. i think ravens put special focus on defending AJ and Hurts is cautious with turning the ball over. He played it safe today. I expect him to be less gun shy when Smith returns.

This game was kind of all over the place. The offense playing poorly for two quarters. Some sloppy penalties. Then the offense getting things going when they absolutely needed to. The defense keeping the Ravens to just 12 points thanks to the Ravens kicker forgetting how to kick. Both teams forcing some turnovers, but failing to capitalize on them. Barkley finally doing his second half thing. Some inexplicable reason having Maddox out there giving up a costly penalty. Mitchell and Cooper still doing their thing. Jalen Carter getting held all game and getting no calls. The refs again being pretty one sided against the Eagles. I mean twice in this game you could clearly see Ravens players pulling Eagles jerseys on plays with no calls on offense and defense. Still to go into a mostly hostile environment against a playoff quality team with two MVP level player candidates and win is special especially when you consider the fact the Ravens absolutely needed this game to try and keep pace with the Steelers. It was not perfect, but it was a win.

The series of plays on that drive. First down Mitchell blankets his guy and gets a great PD. Second down Carter and Smith Jr. wrap up Henry for a loss. Third down Coop levels Henry in the flat. 4th down McCollum almost gets an interception. It was a dominating series by the defense by Howie drafted players and free agent signings against an offense that was averaging 30 plus points a game.

Great win on the road against a very good team. Excellent job.

By the way, if you hate Mondays like I hate Mondays, I recommend getting up to watch the second half of the Eagles game from the night before. Two weeks in a row I have had to surrender to sleep before the end of the game, got up on Monday and watched Saquon work his magic. That guy is making Mondays bearable again. My goodness, what a stud

I thought he looked pretty good. He´s inexperienced but he was around the ball a lot when he was on the field. He´s showing decent progress

For sure when he pulled this defense together on the sideline after 2 Baltimore drives that was huge! That was a turning point because after that we gave them next to nothing. He’s one of the leaders and his energy is what drives this team.

It's a good mix. CJGJ and Q are the vocal, trash-talking leaders of the secondary while Slay and Reed are the dependable, no-nonsense actions speak louder than words guys.

Just seems like the right fit.

good win. saquon is a rb god. i have more questions about hurts after this one

Hurts has proven he is a not a great QB over 5 years and probably never will be. However- he HAS learned to be a "game manager" type of QB- move the sticks somewhat, don't turn the ball over, make a few good decisions, etc. And that formula has won 8 games in a row, over good competition. I would like more from him, but I'll take it.
JUST WIN, BABY.

He impressed me. He was getting into the backfield and making plays. He looks like he can become a disruptor.

He only finished second in MVP voting in that time and was favourite at about the half way point of last season. He is playing his role within the team right now which is a team that looks to be leaving their egos at the door and just going out to win games, regardless of how they do it. He has made plays with both his legs and his arm when they have needed him to in this stretch of wins, but the ground game and Barkley have been so dominant in the second half he hasn't had to throw it a lot.

Add Carter to the trash talkers! Man that kid is talking trash after every single play.

Yeah, ok. Just to reiterate... the Ravens are ranked 31st against the pass. Hurts had 118 all game. He isn't a GREAT QB, he is a game manager QB.

Not a perfect game but a good win against a good team on the road. In the end it was the Ravens kicker throwing points away, not the Eagles. It really changed how the 4th Quarter played out. From the stands it didn't seem like a hostile environment. It must have been 70-30 or 60-40 Ravens fans to Eagles. Eagles fans really showed up.

His numbers won’t jump out at you and he started very slow. At one point he was 1/5, but in the second half he was 9/10 with a TD pass and I believe a TD run.

I figured he was talking about Jalyx Hunt, not Hurts

They also ran for 140 yards against the number 1 ranked run defense which was comfortably the most they have given up this season. Hurts had the same yards per pass as Jackson (only 19 total attempts) and was instrumental in them taking the lead in the second quarter having that 9/10 stretch while throwing for a TD and running for another. He has shown he can be a great QB

The Ravens have also been destroyed by the Burrow/Chase combo over two games this year, outside of that they held the other MVP candidate in Josh Allen to a stat line of 16/29 for 180 yards and 0 TD's, so the numbers look infinitely worse due to those two Bengals games.

I don’t think the loss of Smith should be overlooked either. It allows defenses to key in on AJ in the pass game. Hopefully we get Smith back soon enough and he’ll be rested.

Yup, they were trying to take Brown away knowing that Covey/Dotson weren't going to beat them on routes in front of the sticks. A couple of the early missed throws you can see the way they are doubling Brown. They were able to get Goedert involved in the second quarter and he hit him on the TD.

There was also one of my fave plays when Hurts threw the bomb to Brown thinking he had a free play and then the refs picked up the flag.

Don't fall for Bs stats. The Ravens have been much better the last few games. Takes like that are just lazy.

From where I was sitting, it looked like Hurts and Brown had a chance for a huge game. I figured the Ravens would bring safety help to AJ's side since they didn't have to account for Smith. But they mostly single-covered him. Hurts wasn't looking at him. I didn't pay attention to the Ravens CB in coverage but he did a good job. I don't know if it was game script, and Hurts is typically looking for his first target, but it seemed like AJ was mostly running decoy. The Ravens didn't bite. Brown had a couple big catches when they did connect.

Loss of Smith coupled with Dotson seeming to have difficulty pick up the offense on top of that Wilson was out too kind of made the passing game one dimensional. I also heard on the radio Goedert was injured too. The passing attack was missing a lot of key components.

Hurts never was, nor ever will be a GREAT QB. He is a game manager- period. I have no problem with it, but I also stay rooted in reality. He is helping the team win and that's all that matters.

I didn't know that.
