Lions remaining schedule:
Packers
Bills
Bears
49ers
Vikings

Eagles remaining schedule:
Panthers
Steelers
Commanders
Cowboys
Giants

I don’t want to jinx us, but I’d rather have the Eagles’ remaining schedule than the Lions’ remaining schedule.

We could easily lose to the Steelers and Wash on the road. And Carolina is looking like a trap game and we always play down to inferior opponents.

I'd rather play the Steelers and Wash than GB, Buffalo, or Minn.  The Lions could lose to the Bears, too.

That’s a tough run the the Lions for sure. The 49ers are cooked though. They get all of their difficult opponents at home too. Eagles schedule isn’t exactly easy either. Both teams are playing divisional opponents. Yeah the North is better, but there’s a lot of pride in those games too. Potentially both teams might have to fight all the way to the last week to see who gets the one seed. That’s great for Barkley’s chance to win the rush title.

I only care about the 1 seed for the first round bye, I don't care about HFA.

I say this because the Eagles don't seem to be bothered by road games this season.  Here are their home and away splits, pretty close (keep in mind that the game in Brazil was considered a home game even though it was technically not a home game since it was on a neutral field):

So if we adjust the above for the fake home game they're 7-1 on the road and 3-1 at home.   I really wish they didn't add a 7 seed, the #2 seed having a bye as well was super nice.

We could easily win out too. Stop being so pessimistic. 🤪

Carolina is not a trap game. They are a team that is figuring out how to be competitive. Some fans might expect them to roll over and die, but they are better team right now than they were last year. We'll be playing them without Goedert, perhaps without Smith and we'll have to wait and see if Blankenship gets cleared. We are already in the process of replacing Graham with Huff out as well. I guarantee that nobody on the Eagles expects a cakewalk or will be dogging it in that game. We don't have the #1 seed locked up and it is a conference game. It's still critical to get a win this week.

I don't know man. A dome team in the Lions coming to the linc in January would be a huge advantage if both teams can make it. I think HFA can potentially be huge.

I wish I could subscribe to this line of thinking but I've seen it burn the Eagles in the playoffs multiple times in my Eagles fan life.  Remember how the Bucs couldn't win in the cold for example?

HFA would be great, not saying it wouldn't, but I mainly just want to skip the first round, it's a much bigger advantage when it comes to getting to the Super Bowl, since you have to play 1 less game and get time for banged up players to heal a bit more

Point is a bit moot though since adding a 7th seed means you either get 1 seed and have both or you don't (since the 2 seed no longer awards a bye)

Lions injuries are picking up too! I think they’ll lose 2 games so it really comes down to whether we can run the table and not lose again.

Let's not talk about the bucs NFC championship game 🙂. I think if we are locked in on the number 2 seed and no chance for number 1, we should rest all starters in week 18. That extra week of healing will be important to your point.

I see Carolina as The Real Test™ more than I see them as a trap game.

I agree.™ 🤣

I can see a tight game against the Steelers, outside that unless we somehow get to rest the starters for a game, I see winnable games.

I get any given Sunday, I do, but at some point you just have to believe they're the real deal, they've beaten everyone they've come across since the bye and have always looked to have an extra gear if they needed it.

We already have 10 wins I’m not too worried we can play with anyone f em all

Home field advantage is what the name calls it, an advantage. According to this site, the home team wins the conference championship 68.2% of the time.

That's not a guarantee, of course. But I want that advantage. I don't think we'd be screwed if we have to go on the road, but if for no other reason, I want the crowd at the Linc there for the game. I want the trophy presentation (to the Eagles), to be in front of Eagles fans at the Linc. I want Terry Bradshaw Sing Fly Eagles, Fly to the fans at the Linc.

Give the Eagles every possible advantage that we can get.

What's the tie-breaker if both teams finish 15-2 with the same conference record?

The thing is (and the fans don’t get enough credit for it) Eagles fans travel very well. Heck in the Rams game the home team was talking about using a silent count. In Baltimore you could hear "Coooooop” and "MVP” chants. It might be more difficult to get to some of these road games, and I will add something about teams having to come into Philly and into that Stadium in the playoffs gives the Eagles a major advantage. I’ve seen Hurts and Sirianni start the playoffs on the road twice. Both first round exits. The one time they got HFA they went to the Super Bowl. Get the bye week and the HFA especially since they had such an early bye and the injuries have been piling up.

Its not just that Eagles fans travel well, they are everywhere. Heck ive never even been to Philly. And ive met random people from other countries who are Bird fans.

Disclaimer: i live in 49er territory and the only 49ers game i ever attended was the glorious Koy Detmer game in 2002.

People keep talking about the Lions but the nightmare scenario imho is if the Vikings somehow got the #1 seed....those guys want revenge on us.

Has that been the case this year?? (After the bye). We've been smoking those teams
