Sorry didn't read all comments....

Thursdays game for the Lions (and us) is huge! Lions lose and we take over 1st overall, since we beat GB.

People keep talking about the Lions but the nightmare scenario imho is if the Vikings somehow got the #1 seed....those guys want revenge on us.

They dont even have any of the same players or coaches from that season and other then a couple of players and 1 coach neither do the Eagles.  Also does freaking sam Darnold really worry you against this defense?

And we'll destroy them again.

We definitely want that 1 seed. Goff is far less effective out of a dome.

Having said that, this team is built for the road and may end up getting an "easier” divisional game if they get the 2 seed.

By that I mean the other division winners should be pretty weak. I expect 1 to sneak through the wild card due to home field. If that happens, 1 seed will get Vikings or Packers and 2 would get a struggling division winner.

It’s a very good point there! The #2 seed would still give us HFA for 2 games and yeah maybe the second of those 2 would be easier? In all likelihood Minnesota and Green Bay are going to be the #5 and #6 right? That’s certainly how it is looking at the moment. Of course Detroit could slip up and maybe Minnesota ends up being the #1 (if we can’t take advantage).

What's the tie-breaker if both teams finish 15-2 with the same conference record?

If the Packers beat the Lions, the Eagles get the tiebreaker.  If the Lions lose any other game, they hold the tiebreaker if tied at 15-2.

Which players remain there from 2017?  I don't think their players care, I think their FANS care.

Darnold, JJ, etc. They don't know a thing about the fleaflicker in the NFCCG.  They weren't a part of it.

Has that been the case this year?? (After the bye). We've been smoking those teams

To be fair, the Eagles didn't really smoke the Jags.  They should have, but it came down to the final drive.

That's probably because the Lions are very clearly better than the Vikings at every facet of the game and it really isn't close.

That also came down to some unfavorable calls such as a replay review clearly showing Barkley down by contact ... among others.

Trap game at home on an 8 game win streak against a 3-9 team.

Look out. Trap game. :D

We could easily lose to the Steelers and Wash on the road. And Carolina is looking like a trap game and we always play down to inferior opponents.

This team hasn't had that problem since the BYE, thankfully

Thank you!

for what?

Honestly, I don't care if the team gets HFA or the 2 seed, as long as they win it all.  As someone else stated, the only reason I really want the 1 seed is so they can get extra rest and play 1 less game on their path towards a SB win.  If they don't get the 1 seed, I'm not going to worry about potentially playing on the road. For all we know Detroit could lose at home in the 2nd round and the Eagles get HFA by default.

I get what you’re saying but HFA plus that bye week could really help this team. Basically this team has to play 15 consecutive games without a bye in order to make it to the SB. That’s a ton of wear and tear with no relief. That’s the curse of the early by week. They have to play a lot of games without no rest. They have a lot of guys with nagging injuries. Seems like their best chances to win the SB would be HFA and that bye week.
