Class warfare?  Ugh, thanks a lot Biden!

Are we allowed to start shooting poors yet?

That depends very much on what you mean. For R&D? Probably close to.  For out of pocket care if you have true "F you money". Yup. For the health/longevity of the vast majority of its citizens?  Nope. Not even close.

The health and longevity of Americans is a direct result of the lifestyle choices of Americans. It’s not a quality of healthcare problem, it’s a "I ate myself to death” problem.

I knew it!

Then who would fan you and feed you grapes as your lounge by the pool?

I don't think Vikas officially gets into office until late January.

Isn't RFK Jr supposed to fix this?

This is something I cannot argue. Obesity is a massive problem in this country and greatly contributes to our overall health costs.

They want us all to mourn the guy who helped contribute to the pain and suffering of millions. If you don't, you are a bad person. Those are the rules.

At least you admit you have no actual principles behind the self righteousness

I mean, if the school is populated full of rollerblading wannabe Eurotrash, of course the football team is going to suck.

 Back when me and my brother were kids we used to play "street" hockey in the church parking lot down the road with our roller blades, but that ended when we got to like 12 years old.  That church also used to leave the back door unlocked so we would go in and drink from the water fountain, and one time we went into the copier room and made copies of our asses   Hopefully God wasn't watching that day 😞

He’s supposed to ban some food additives from what I’ve read.

Ultimately, that doesn’t matter. People will stuff their fat faces because they have no self control, which is also why they are poor.

Yeah, I'm the self-righteous one here.

No, that’s all above board.

I mean like a dentist not administering anesthesia to children and pulling teeth unnecessarily… or charging for surgery that never occurred.

This is relatively common because it can be scaled up across all of your patients/services.

For an individual, not only do you need a provider in on it, but you can only do it once, or at best, a few times a year if you are pretending to have some chronic condition.

Its why medicare fraud is so massive. Nonexistent resistance to fraud

Strippers, obviously

Exactly.

This is how morally bankrupt the far left is at this point. A man is dead FFS.

I find the anti-vax far-right is just as morally bankrupt, reveling in his death:

That's how screwed up we are as a society.

If you have to shoot the poors yourself, you are the poor!

Private military contractors FTW!

In all seriousness, yeah, insurance companies can suck. But they are overregulated and asked to provide way to much care in the 1st place. The following changes would make more sense:

1. Stop tying insurance to employment. We use TriNet (which sucks), so that limits the options we can offer. And then we choose UNH, and they accept the plan we offer. So the insurance companies client isn't us, or the end patient -- it's TriNet. So of course they treat patients like crap -- they aren't the customer. Change it so people buy insurance outside their employer.

2. Make insurance what it is supposed to be -- coverage for the extreme and unforeseeable. Why is insurance paying for annual doctor visits? Routine blood work? Those are things people need all the time. Let doctors and labs charge for those and compete on price. Make insurance for the rare medical occurrences. Think of it this way - auto insurance doesn't pay for gas or regular maintenance. It pays when you're in an accident. That's insurance -- protection for the unforeseen, not for the routine. This will make premiums go way down as many will never access their insurance in their life, just like auto and home.

3. Make truly exceptional care available only to those who can afford it and be honest -- this is a capitalist country. Most people won't get expensive cancer treatments.

In all fairness, that guy called him a legend and not a hero. So that's probably ok.

Disclaimer: I do not condone murder. This man is not a legend or hero. He is a murderer.

It's both. The maternal mortality rate is in a scale of 4-5 times that of other western countries. Acting as if that's all lifestyle is absurd.
