They didn't today.  #26 ran well early on but we called Hurts' number a few times instead and he flaked.  Almost cost us the game.

I mean, he did throw 2 TD passes and they won the game. But yeah, he needs to do much better in the pass game especially with these receivers.

I do think they'll lose to the Steelers but...I see it a 20-17 type game.

but.

 

- Jalen Hurts is not a 200 mill QB, he is very limited to an avg QB that has good scrambling ability that's it.

- Someone like a Tyrod Taylor could run this offense just as good as Hurts or better with this line, WRs, TEs,

- Hurts is not gonna win Eagles the big game on his shoulders, he just doesn't have the ability,

- I don't know how far this team is going to go in the Playoffs because Hurts is the QB, if everything clicks Eagles should be in the Superbowl, that's if 'everything' clicks, Hurts is not the QB that will be the factor like a Josh Allen, Mahomes or even fricken Sam Darnold currently.

- This terrible passing game will catch the Eagles OUT if it doesn't get rectified ASAP, this is a team that will need everything to click with Jake Elliot and Jalen Hurts being burdens is a big worry.

 

Defense:

- Only weakness I see is the QB's that do the quick timed throws, which seems to be Fangio's kryptonite...

A loss wouldn’t be great but a close loss wouldn’t be the end of the world… I don’t think we are going to get the #1 seed even if we win out so…

This Kicker worries me. Jake just may have lost it.

Well, he’s gotta get on the field and keep kicking, that’s how he gets outta his funk, he’s a good kicker he’s been solid, and it could be the mechanics that are messing with him(snap and hold) maybe there needs to be a change there…

Good kickers are actually hard to find..he’s a good kicker, I wouldn’t come away from him yet, but like a shooter in basketball you gotta keep shooting to get out of your missing..

Then where’s his trust in AJ gone? That slant play should be about as automatic a play as it gets. Big bodied WR with the speed and agility and hands to make that a very comfortable play.

 Pitts being better than Carolina means nothing? Atlanta beat us but now look awful. We struggled against the Browns who have been up and down (mostly down). We comfortably handled Cincinnati when they played the Steelers close in a high scoring game. It’s a week to week league.

the pitt game will be a loss 100%. the o-line cant pass block as well as it used to and hurts is lost back there at times. what we saw today was a precursor to the wildcard weekend. a better team beats the eagles today. they almost lost to the panthers. Hurts was a big reason why and the defense being unable to get off the field on these long drives.

Improving Jalen’s game is not going to happen at this point in his career. His QB ability as a pocket passer cannot be rectified, he’s just not that type of QB. He has a limited skill set and that’s been good enough for him to continue as our QB, but he’s regressing. He’s got all that talent around him, and yet he cannot use it to its fullest. He’s beyond correcting. 
I agree with everything else you mentioned about him - including the Taylor comparison. I hope we look into getting a QB to challenge him in a year or two through FA or the draft. 

I hope siriani goes to the league on these refs..the facemask AGAIN!!!! That wasnt called…the holding the delays that weren’t called…over the last few weeks it’s been really bad, like the league doesn’t want the eagle to win and are trying to effect the outcome of these Eagle games with these calls or non calls..it’s gotta be brought up to the league….

Unfortunately with every passing week i feel like we are getting closer and closer to the realisation that Hurts just isn’t going to be enough. I know some are there already and I’m not quite yet… But I am worried that every week we think he’ll be better and he just isn’t.

I think the Panthers are not too far from being a contending team in a year or two. Pitt is a slug offensively, and if not for their defense, they are a below 500 team. They’re a poser imo, but I stick by the intangibles/factors I mentioned before. They should win, and maybe semi convincingly. 

The defense was very mixed today. They had some great stops but allowed way too many runs and first down plays.

Hurts made some nice plays and kept the ball secure, I have to give him that, but I don't recall any passes over the middle. 

Maybe just maybe they don't want opponents to get too much good film on them. However, I was thinking they were that smart all last season, and it turned out they weren't. They got more and more depressed which was really weird.

The delays are weird.... refs watch the clock, once it hits zero they turn their head, if the ball is snapped it's fine. What people tend to forget, when counting down from 1, it's then 0.9, 0.8, 0.7..... I've always wished they would add the decimal point for when the clock goes below 1 second, this way it's not a doubt. The rest I agree.

As far as your aj point, that’s what I’m saying…if he comes outta the huddle knowing that aj is gonna get that ball, then why even look right, aj one on one, on a slant is a gimmie, just hike it and throw it, but he doesn’t do that,  he feels the need to deceive the defense (which he isn’t good at) just to not throw it to aj..

but more important, he’s continuing to make some boneheaded plays that veterans don’t do, that’s even more concerning
