Can we say that the Eagles won this trade?  And perhaps that it was a good thing that he demanded a trade, considering his run defense is bad and his presence would have stunted Nolan Smith's development?  Can we also say that the chances of him getting a new contract at 31 years old close to anything that he demanded are pretty much nil at this point?

Agreed but.....devil's advocate, it'd be damn nice to have him right now.....and let's be honest, Huff has done about the equivalent for us....

I’d say at this point the trade is equal. We didn’t win, NY didn’t win. He’s got half a sack on a bad team but NY botched it with the contract stuff.

Right now, him and Huff both have stink on them.

We got a 5th round pick for a bad attitude player who wanted way to much money and didnt produce sheet this year. Id say we did the right thing and thats a win for us. Jets on the other hand are complete losers in this we at least got something for his nothingness

Set the contract issues aside and pretend that he'd have been happy with his Eagles contract... we could have used him this past Sunday.

But then Nolan Smith's development would have been stunted, right?  Because in that scenario, Reddick and Sweat are the starters, not Smith and Sweat.

Plus, Reddick is not good in defending against the run.
