Philthy Jawn Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I would love to know what Nick said. I have to admit that part of me feels a bit of schadenfeude from reading about this incident. I will always appreciate Zach's clutch performance in the Superbowl, he deserved that standing ovation earlier in the season. But I also dislike how disruptive and pouty he was in the 2021 training camp, and the fact that he will end his career on a division rival on the ascent really takes some shine off his legacy. He now comes across more like a mercenary more than an Eagle for life. https://www.inquirer.com/eagles/eagles-nick-sirianni-zach-ertz-altercation-podcast-20241225.html
The Norseman Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Yea, I'll take the other side of this. No idea what was said between them, but since it looks like the first words came out of Sirianni's mouth and Ertz reacted poorly, I'm guessing those words weren't complimentary. It also follows a trend of rotten behavior from Nick. Yelling at fans after the Browns game, arguing with Jalen carter on the sideline, chippy press conferences with the media, etc, etc. Pretty clear that he can't control his emotions and lashes out when he's upset. Personally, I think the guy is a little b**ch, but he seems to find a way to get through to these players enough to win games. I'll happily side with our Superbowl champion TE on this one. 4

Basically that after last weeks game Nick and Ertz approached each other on the sidelines to shake hands. Nick said something and Ertz got angry. The team staff had to pull the two of them apart. Not much detail other than that. 1 1

Siri didn't like the Ertz HARD high 5 slap, and basically told Hurts he had one catch and wasn't the reason the Redskins (*on purpose) won. Ertz got all emotional, like he always does. He is woman- like with his emotions- all weepy and crap. Always has been.
UK_EaglesFan89 Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Six of one half a dozen of the other as I say to my girls. Sirianni should learn to keep his emotions in check (not going to happen I know) and Ertz should be less of a whiner. I guess ultimately it’s on Sirianni as HC to not get in to this nonsense. The players are in a physical and mental battle on the field and the HC should be keeping calm and leading by example. Unfortunately Sirianni doesn’t do that know we all know what he can be like. 3
