Where would the rushing title parade be and when does it start?

The RIGHT decision was made..TEAM sport, ultimate goal is THE SUPER BOWL. 

 

I’d rather see a Super Bowl trophy and I think Saquan would agree.

I think there is a lot of validity to the point the original poster made. I know it was true in my case when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. I've been going to games with my father since Franklin Field, and I had been wanting, wishing, and praying for about fifty years just to see the Eagles FINALLY win a Super Bowl. But the tears of joy you might have imagined that evening never materialized, simply because I felt the victory was tainted because the Eagles played their backups in the season finale at home against the hated Cowboys and lost by a score of 6-0. If they had played their regulars in that game that some people considered meaningless -- and let's say for example that Nick Foles had tossed eight touchdown passes to set an NFL record -- I would have been satisfied by the Super Bowl win. But they denied me that chance that day.

I would have loved going for the record today, but I understand the decision.  He had chances during the season to get more yards but didn't.  Given, he had n idea he would get 101 yards away from the record, but he could have had it without needing today.

And my friends we are seeing in week 18 why you don’t play your starters if you don’t have to. Flowers, Watson and Love all hurt. (Baltimore had to play. You can debate on Green Bay)

Part of me feels like ownership benched him to protect Mara. Mara is embarrassed enough, letting Saquon break the record against his former team makes all the owners look bad so they looked out for their friend.

If I was Saquon I'd feel completely disrespected by this team.

I don’t even follow baseball, but I think it’d be funny as hell if the morning of the Super Bowl, the Phillies sign a big time player, then the Eagles just to spite them, went out later that day and won the Super Bowl. You know, just to show them up. I would so laugh about that.

and then to get back at them, the Phillies win the WS. Eagles go on to repeat next year, etc. Keep it going.

This would be a record for Saquon, the Eagles, and every fan who has witnessed this season. To deprive all of us of that for a day of rest? Something multiple teams will have, and something that far from guarantees a Superbowl.

We have a chance to do what no other team has accomplished in 40 years, but we'll squander that chance because we "might” win a Superbowl with our quarterback who has yet to pass concussion protocol?

Even if we did, we’ll always look back on this season, when the Eagles could have made history by becoming the team that broke the longest-standing record in NFL history.

This would be another episode of "Adventures in missing the point"......
