Why people like her never make it farther in your party I will never understand. She made it to a cabinet position. I know in the GOP those appointments are based on who retweets Andrew Tate the most and who can get get the closest the statutory rape without facing prison time, but for Dems that's a pretty big deal

She got some VP heat but in reality she wasn't super well known outside of the region. A governor from the smallest state in the country (from New England no less) isn't gonna win any swing votes. A cabinet position gets her national exposure at least for the future. Not sure how she could have made it further at this stage of her career.

But I'm suggesting that maybe instead of political lifers and DEI appointments they should be looking at people who have some real world experience and actually understand their role and position. Gina worked in private equity and was very successful before getting into politics. Everything you just said to me would make sense in a world where someone like Kamala Harris wasn't appointed VP and then anointed the presidential nomination. I understand that they didn't have much choice...but she never should have been there in the first place.

I just don't think she would have had a different outcome if she was the candidate. So in that way I'm kinda happy. She's not radioactive in politics in the way Kamala is now.

January 7Jan 7 I used to frequent quite a few bars in Windsor in my younger days (drinking age there is 19.) Even in some of the smaller dives we'd go to for a game of pool or foosball, Molson and Labatt blue were about as common as it would be to see people drinking bud or miller here. Maybe it's different these days or in different provinces.
