That was a splurge when I was in Rochester. I should try it again and see if it holds up or it was just better than Genny light and Busch.

Genny wasn't available down in Virginia when I was in college but I'd bring down with me once in a while and it has a sort of cult status down there at that time.

Sheet beer there was Piels, Natty Bo, Goebels, and worst of all Old Milwaukee.

My dad’s favorite beer was "one more,” but he drank Piels way back. I had an uncle who drank Schaefer, my dad and him would argue about whose beer was worse. 🤮

Playing softball back in my college days we used to get cases of Genny Light Pounders, usually followed by the Genny Screamers the next day.  This was technically a result of Cream Ale but we didn't drink Cream Ale but suffered some of the same side effects.

Schaefer "when you're having more than one" was bad.  Then there was Schmidts which was at least as bad if not worse and let's not forget about Ortliebs.

Yes, only the bougiest college students partook of the high quality beer that is Genny Light 

And it doesn't really matter where you went in upstate New York. It was a cold dark long winter and everyone drank like the apocalypse was coming.
