I was 11-12 years old when I figured out wrestling, the WWF back then, was fake and quit watching.

After some of the crap I've seen this year, I'm starting to feel the same way about the NFE.

I’m sure there were some Packers fan that thought the NFL was rigged when we converted on 4th and 26, but it turns out Freddy Mitchell’s hands are just that good!!!

The only thing that worries me on the NFC side is the narratives the NFL has been pushing. The commies got a couple of favorable calls in lynchpin situations this past weekend. They've been pushing the commies and the lions pretty hard this year. I think they were disappointed that they ended up together in the divisional round instead of the NFC Championship.

The Rams will provide some wrinkles. I think it's important for us to get out to an lead early and keep pressure on Stafford. Poopa Nukua, or whatever his name is, hit us pretty hard in the last game so hopefully they have a better plan for him. The Rams are one of the worst run defenses in the league. I expect them to sell out to stop the run as much as they can but it didn't really work in the first game and I don't expect it to work now.

Provided we make it the NFC championship game, my biggest concern in that game is that we'll be fighting the other team and the refs. I'd sort of prefer the Commies just because I think we match up better with the run game but I'd prefer an honest set of refs more and the NFE (think wwe) to be more NFL and stop thumbing the scale.

I think you're crazy, but somehow Stafford losing in Detroit to send them to their first Super Bowl is a story that writes itself.  Like like I'm rooting for Washington regardless.

Not good

I believe it was corrected in the blog that we’ve won at least two games reffed by Shawn Smith.

Two other things to consider. Though Smith was the ref when CJGJ got ejected, that doesn’t mean Smith was the one to initially throw the flag. He’s just the one making the call. Another thing to consider, is the playoffs are basically officiating "all star” crews. And I use the term "all star” very loosely. Smith is the head ref, but not all officials are part of his regular crew.

It’s a big nothing burger.

Business as usual

It was either after the GB missed FG or the Baun interception toward the end of the first half but I thought that was a good time for a shot play. Obviously the defensive look GB gave could have, and likely, changed that

Yeah I think the weather helps the Eagles more than the refs hurt them.

If the Eagles have learned anything from the Snow Bowl and that Super Bowl fiasco in Arizona, it's to have the proper footwear for the elements and state of the field.  I hope the coaching and training staff is prepared on how to handle weather impacted conditions.  I remember reading how Shady caught on fire the second half of the Snow Bowl game by changing either the footing posture, or the way to run on the surface.  Whatever it is, Eagles should be prepared on how to navigate snowy conditions

Start by getting Shady on speed dial. Use whatever shoes and cleats he used and pick his brain on how he dealt with it.

I'm on it.  Just sent Shady a DM on Instagram to make sure he's in contact with the organization.

The Rams are a good team playing their best right now.  We need to play well to win.  Their coach may be the best offensive play designer and their QB throws it as well as any in the league.  They have weapons on offense and have drafted well on D.  This isn't a game to look past.  If the Rams play like they did last week we will need to rise to the occasion and I mean Hurts

Our O Line is going to dominate the Rams defense. Again.

I also predict that the Rams QB will be sacked 5 times. Again.

Flabbergasted so many in national media think this game will be close or Rams win. If we don’t win by 2 tds I’ll be legit surprised.

If we need the refs to help us beat the frickin Rams then we probably dont deserve to win.

I expect some calls to go against us though just because some went our way in the last game like the fumble. Its how things seem to work in the NFL...unless ur the Chiefs.

I wouldn't count on the cold weather slowing down Stafford.  He's played very well in cold conditions more than once.  Remember, he used to be a Lion.  Which means playing the Packers in Green Bay once a year (where it can get quite cold).

Meh, that was 5 years ago already, hes old and spent the majority of his entire career in perfect conditions going all the way back to college. A few games here and there and then throw in travel and i dont think he will be as effective in the cold as he used to be.

Still dont know why so many people fear the rams so much they have had 2 games where they scored 30 and 1 where they scored over 30 all year long.

Playoffs and all that.  And Eagles history leaves a bad taste in most people's mouths (myself included).  I'm old enough to remember a terrible Panthers team eliminating the Eagles from the playoffs, so I don't count out any opponent anymore regardless of how good or bad they may be.

I mean the panthers went to the super bowl that year and lost by only 8 points so they weren't that bad lol. We also didn't have any receivers and Westbrook was hurt. I get the skepticism, just dont see it here.

If memory serves me though that game was supposed to be one that the Eagles were greatly favored to win and people didn't think it would be possible to lose to them.  Another one was the game against the Cardinals.  Again, another team that the Eagles vastly outmatched and should've beaten easily (but didn't).

Anyway, I think the Eagles can and should win, but just saying that the past has me very cautiously optimistic instead of just optimistic.

Were we really favored against the Cardinals? Just genuinely asking becuase that whole year was a struggle and the year Mcnabb got benched and both teams had the same record except for the tie we had. Pretty sure that tie is what got us in the playoffs that year too.

I think they win handedly, that was the andy Reid let downs, i dont have those feelings of losing games they should win anymore

You have a much better memory of the specifics than I do.  I only remember the teams and the mindset among a majority of our fanbase going into the games (like the Bucs not being able to win in the cold as another mindset going around before that game).

The Bucs one i definitely remember lol. I think that year we played them in the regular season in the the absolute frigid temps and we won...  Then hearing how bad the Bucs were in the cold and people, including myself thought it would be easy peasy lol.
