One of the main reasons why I would like to see Sirianni take over as play caller. Even if he loses his next coordinator (again) at least that stays consistent.

Hell no. I'm done with that experiment. Just no. Siri is fine doing what he's doing.

Outside of the int he played pretty well yesterday.

It’s the only way to fix it. By the way it’s been several years it’s happened and he only did it for a half a season. Sirianni’s a great listener and he’s flexible. He could take in input for his coaches.

He's played in two Super Bowls and scored an average of 36 points per game. Jalen is a king.

The value of bringing in an outside voice to add new wrinkles is invaluable.  Moore was able to use motion much more than what we saw in past (recent) years.  We have to stay ahead of the curve … we are now going to have a bullseye on our backs and teams are going to have plenty of time this offseason to watch tape to figure how to better defend against us.  So for that reason I am hoping we don’t just promote from within and bring in someone from the outside to add to the mix of offensive minds already here and hopefully our offense gets even more innovative.

Got bad news for you. They will promote from within. Personally I think Moore being the OC for one season led to most of the struggles the offense had in particular at the QB position. Seems like the one spot where this team needs to ensure consistency.

Struggles on offense?  We were a run focused offense that still averaged 29 pts/game (regular season and post season).  Hurts has continually said they win using a formula they know will give them the best chance to do so with the players they have on the roster.  He hasn’t needed to be anything more than what he has been and when there was a need he delivered.

10 10 playoff club.

He is 1 of 1

Give it 5 years and he will be the 20 20 club.

Come on now you know they changes this offense just from the beginning of the season. On top of that Brown wouldn’t have popped off about the passing struggling. Hurts himself has argued about having to deal with multiple OCs. They basically took till the final games of the year to really breakout….. and now another new coordinator.

Gut feel is promoting from within will be a mistake. It hasn’t worked out well for us after our last 3 SB appearances. Feels like fresh eyes will help to hopefully keep us ahead of the curve.

Hurts isnt elite. He has 1 outlier season of excellent play. Something isnt clicking with him and moore and its going to need to be adressed in yhe offseason. Its what will keep them from the sb of they dont make it

If Sirianni won’t call plays then maybe they can bring in someone who isn’t looking for a HC job like Fangio. Problem is most of those old guys aren’t into these new styles of offense. Next guy in will be on his way out soon too.

In 2023 we lost Steichen and Gannon.

In 2018 we lost Reich.

Who did we lose in 2005?

After the 2004 SB the Patriots lost both coordinators

After 2005, we lost Chilly to the Vikings

This was an excellent coaching staff. Promoting from within is ideal. We keep the terminology and ideology the same. Remember how all season a certain few posters here kept reminding us about the "historic collapse" in 2023 and how we should expect the same in 2024 because Hurts was only averaging 200 passing yards per game? I kept reminding them it was no longer 2023 and that 2024 was it's own season. The same applies here. I don't care what happened after 2017 or after 2022. Next season isn't 2018 or 2023. We have terrific assistant  coaches and that's the best source for filling vacancies. There's no guarantee that every promotion will work out, but there's an equal guarantee that an outside hire will work out. Remember Patricia? Desai might have been in over his head, but Patricia (the outside hire insurance policy) broke the defense altogether.

my original posts is still true. what Hurts has become is a big game qb. he still isnt elite. he did what was needed of him in the biggest moment. it wasnt just him though. that defense was insane. Hurts had a Hurts game. not taking anything away from him.

Combined SB TDs through age 26

Hurts  7
Aikman, Brady, Wilson  4
Elway, Mahomes  3
Montana, McMahon, Big Ben, Eli, Kaepernick  2
Bradshaw, Woodley, Marino, Grossman, Burrow, Purdy   1

You apparently don't know what the word ELITE means

  • He is one of the 3 best statistical SB QBs in history (2+ games)
  • He has the 3rd most TDs since the start of 2022
  • He is 40-10 in his last 50 regular season games.
  • He is 6-3 in the playoffs
  • He is in a dead heat with Lamar as the best run game QB in the league (yards, TDs, and affecting the D)
  • He is an at the line field general who audibles into huge gains and TDs left and right.

You are hung up on passing yards. Its the Testaverde / Jameis Winston stat.

Do you need him to stay in the game in 4th quarter blowouts to get 35 more passing yards a game? :chair:

He could have easily had a 300 100 game on Sunday but this is not fantasy football.

No. It's an opinion. Opinion is not truth.
