What I don’t quite get with Hurts (and look I like him and we all want him to succeed) is why he has to be so stoic all the time? I don’t get why he has to be so flat all of the time? Like in his press conference he said that he wasn’t more fired up this week. He said Mailata was projecting his energy on to him. Why? It’s a huge game why tell us you aren’t fired up?

Name me a QB that acts all fired up at practices and press conferences. Qbs are supposed to keep a level head and be calm cool and collective. Mcnabb used to act like a clown and fired up and he was despised for it.

Leave the rah rah sheet to guys like Mailata and CJGJ.

Personally I like that trait in my QB1 … doesn’t get too high when things are going well and doesn’t get too low/down when things aren’t.  I believe keeping an even keel state of mind helps him stay in the moment and keeps those around him grounded as well.

Hurts is a bad passer and an average overall QB thanks to his physical running.

What I do like about him is that he is fully adjusted to big games with multiple NCAA playoff and national championship appearances, deep playoff runs...he's not going to choke in the playoffs like Mcnabb used to.  He can't pass and you can't ask too much of him, but he's going to deliver his baseline ability in the SB (this one was actually a Nick Folesian above baseline performance), NFCCG, etc.  So they should be able to game plan accordingly.  AR had to try to win with a pumpkin under center as they progressed through the playoffs every year with Mcnabb.

I’m not saying I want him to get super amped up but just a bit of emotion surely? At times as one of the leaders we really need him to get a bit fired up and show a bit of energy when we need that from our offense.

People wanting more from the passing game from Hurts … be careful what you wish for.

He can absolutely pass and very well at that.   His deficiencies are anticipation, decisiveness and pocket presence.

That’s all passing.

He throws a great deep ball, and if his first read is there he will hit him. He can be fast, accurate and on time. Those are passing, too. To say he is a bad passer is to cherry pick to suit an argument. I'm a Hurts supporter. He's a very good, but not elite, QB. His potential as a runner opens things up, too. He's not perfect but to say he can't pass is just wilful ignorance.

So I really hope that if there's a 'Hurts problem', he works it out this week, whatever it is.

Narrator voice - Jalen Hurts would end up working it out, and the Eagles would go on to win the game pretty easily.

How many are still going to **** about Hurts? Yes he struggles with seeing the field at times but the guy wins one way or another. Today it was legs and his ARM!

The haters are quiet as heck today

He does whatever we need to win. Definitely deserved some criticism last couple of weeks, but we are very lucky to have him.

He now has the second most starting QB playoff wins in Eagles history.

He was amazing today

Hurts has started his Foles in the 2017 postseason arc. 71.4% completion rate, 262 total yards, 4 total TDs, 0 turnovers

You're talking about media press conferences.

Pregame, locker room, TD celebrations he's loud & hype.

I mean there are lots of mic'd up videos of him, even shots during the game.

Well he just broke that trend.

I don’t fully understand it, but this guy simply knows how to win and you don’t become the only Eagles quarterback ever to start in two SBs if you don’t know how to win. 2 SBs in three seasons.

I mean the teams keep changing, but these guys just keep it going. Howie, Nick, and Jalen have all been criticized to the point of fans wanting them gone (myself included), but here we are and I have a hard time wanting any of them gone right now.
