Talonblood Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Look how far the Eagles have come. After that horrendous 10-1 collapse and losing to the Bucs in the 1st round of the playoffs last year, to going 14-3, having the #1 defense, and beating the Packers in the 1st round of the playoffs. Almost all the corrections have worked. Both new coordinators panned out. They struck gold with Fangio. Moore is doing ok. Siri- I don't want to talk about Siri. But whatta turn around for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Mike030270 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 It's great that Fangio has no desire to be a HC again and is happy with staying. Lions are about to be picked clean. It'd be great if Moore stayed to have some continuity on offense but he'll likely get a HC position somewhere 1

Eagles have opportunity for continuity and to be the best team all year and #1 seed next year. 2

seengreen Posted January 13 Posted January 13 They had to take the season 1 game at a time. But, they also looked at themselves and saw they needed a boost in youth, swagger, and nastiness. 1
kiwinavega Posted January 13 Posted January 13 OP, who do you credit for this turnaround? It seems you don't credit Sirianni, so who is responsible for this transformation?

Both in FA and in recent drafts. Fangio has been ginormous in turning the defense around, and making Baun what he is when even Howie didn't see it. Kellen Moore has been better than Brian Johnson, though that's not saying much, but he leaves a lot to be desired at times. As for Sirianni, players seem to like him, and he seems to have the team ready to play. Aside from that, it's hard to know how to credit him.

They were able to change things for the better, especially Fangio- getting the most out his rookies, Zach, Smith, etc, and his scheme. And Howie did a great job.
