Cheesteakitis Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Retire BG and Slay — at this point I’m predicting a Super Bowl win and these two go out with a ring Resign Becton - this is somewhat contingent on him giving us a discount but with him turning just 26 in the spring and only 1 year at guard i believe the upside is to much for howie to pass on. Baun - think howie learns from letting tj Edwards go a few years ago and gets Baun signed. Added motivation with Deans injury and likely not playing most of next season. Rogers - filled in very well when slay has been out think we sign him to compete with Ringo and others for starting spot Thomas Booker - liked his preseason and motor when he got a chance to play would like to see him with another year. also would resign long snapper and possibly a couple other low level players let walk Josh Sweat - after a solid year Sweat wants to test the market and see if he can make bank… He receives a solid offer and moves on… potential for the eagles to recoup 4/5 round comp pick in 2026 Milton Williams - like Hargreaves a few years ago Williams is a big fish at Dt and looking to get paid.. receive projected 3rd round comp pick Fred Johnson - someone offers him a chance to start Gainwell - gets a decent offer free agents Asante Samuel Jr -cb - buy low on a cb who only played 4 games in 2024 and missed the rest of the year with a should injury. He also didn’t seem to click with the new coaching staff and defensive scheme and is looking for a fresh start. Prove it deal with a chance he could be a starter other pickups Alex Singleton - tore his acl in week 3 but played another 53 snaps on it I believe to finish the game. Due over 7 million he is a potential cap hit… adding the broncos walter Payton man of the year and former eagle with be great insurance if trotter isn’t ready to start for dean. Trade 2025 1st, 4th, Kenny Pickett, and Conditional 2026 3rd to Cleveland for Miles Garrett.. trading a fan favorite is tough to swallow for Cleveland but they are once again in need of draft picks to overhaul their roster and the eagles are drooling at the opportunity of Garrett and Carter playing on the line together. Draft 2nd Harold Fannin Jr - te- bowling green 117 catches for 1555 yards and 10 tds this past year 3rd Nazir Stackhouse Dt/Dl Georgia DAWGS going back to the well and adding another Georgia player to the fold 5th Jack Kiser LB Notre Dame team captain 6 year player 5th Phil Mafah Rb Clemson Mafah became the starter with Shipley now in Philly and had a solid year 6-1 230 who became a 3 down rb this year and improved his pass catching. 5th Chase Lundt OT Connecticut another 6 year player with almost 3000 snaps at RT.. has good mobility could use some refinement with technique there is an early look and something to discuss enjoy
Cheesteakitis Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 Well they Browns gm has pretty much show down any chance of them trading Garrett but I have heard similar things said before.
Rob331 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Berry of the Browns might just be trying to jack up the price. Don't give up. BTW - I love the trade. I think having both VanSummeran and Dean with long term injuriew also makes Oren Burks more valuable to us and puts him in line for an extension. I agree with your resign and let walk list, withthe possible exception of Rodgers. He's gotten successfully picked on recently. My only quibble with you is that we need to bring Becton and Baun back regardless of their price even if it means Howie has to wave his magic wand again. Your "let walk" list is right on the mark. In the cases of Williams, Johnson, and Gainwell their play this year increased their value to the point that Howie can't afford them in addition to Becton and Baun. Sweat tailed off late in the year like he did last year and it's time. Free agents - I like it. Never thought we should have moved on from Singleton and I think Samuel has talent. As far as the draft goes - let's assume the Garrett trade does happen (personally, I'd look at Hendrickson and Crosby also) 1st round - gone in the Garrett trade 2nd round - agree on a tight end in this draft but think a DT is a bigger need. My pick would be TJ Samders 6'5" 295 from South Carolina 3rd dound - ok, its a flip-flop and the tight end goes here. I like Terrance Ferguson at 6'5" 253 out of Oregon 4th round - gone in the Garrett trade 5th round - Kiser is a guy I'd certainly consider. If we can rsign Burks the position becaomes less of a priority. A running back is definitely needed with Gainwel moving on. I'm with you on drafting a big guy. Mafah or Mullings from Michigan fill the bill. No Eagles draft is complete without an OT. I like Lundt and his size 6'8" or Jack Nelson from Wisconsin 6'7". Great read - I like your thinging. 1

Been hoping to see some of your feedback 🙂 the thought crossed my mind of Crosby also I went with Garrett in this attempt just because I like him a little bit better overall and think he has done a good job of changing his image around after sucker punching Rudolph with his own helmet. Rodgers I could take or leave we do have Ringo.. I projected adding Samuel Jr… and maybe they like Rick’s enough he also competes just didn’t want to see the room get to lite after I traded away several draft picks. is Dt a bigger need yes! We have done a great job the past couple years of going best player available vs biggest need. That’s why I went Fannin Jr at te feeling he is a real stud and could be our te 1 in a few years. Sadly I doubt he is there for our second rounder at this point with the latest news coming out of sr bowl practice having some people comparing him to Antonio Gates. Seen a few places also saying the strength of the Dt class is more about its depth then it is its top prospects.. one report suggested something along the lines of there being like 3 round 1 Dt’s but the trend usually has 6 going by where the eagles would pick in round one.. that’s part of the reason I went with Stackhouse in round 3, and also that he has played with a lot of the other players on defense and should fit right into the culture those guys have with each other. thanks again for the feedback
CouchKing Posted February 12 Posted February 12 So, we burn a first rounder for Myles Garrett. I am throwing Bryce Huff into that trade. Gotta get rid of that salary. That would prob be a non-starter for the Browns. We need to figure out what we're doing with Becton before the draft. If he leaves, we need to draft OLine in the second round.

The browns wouldn’t take Huff as part of the trade they need to find ways to shed cap space not take on more.. if it’s felt Huff is a lot cause then I would first go to some places that were in on him as a free agent this past year. The Vikings, Giants, and even Washington were known to have a good amount of interest.. But you are gonna have to wait till after June 1st to receive any cap relief so your best draft compensation is probably mid-late 2026 pick or 2027 pick. For this mock I have Becton coming back but even if not I think Steen would start at rg and i definitely wouldn’t force a pick on oline in the second.
