We all want another kicker at this point but if there was a decent one out there then he’d be on this team. Jake has been bad all year and his missed XPs yesterday very almost cost us big time yesterday.
January 20Jan 20 I mean they were no more costly than the illegal man down field penalty, the AJ Brown drop on the deep ball, the safety and the two sacks that took us out of field goal range. It's January football, we could be the 10 other teams who lost their shot or the 18 teams who never had a shot but we're still in the hunt and we have the best all round team. Let's not hang all the blame on two missed PAT's in a swirling wind snow bowl. He made the 9 other points when we needed them.

That's a tell tale sign it's probably time to move on. Yesterday, he missed 2 extra points. If the Rams scored at the end, they win by 1 point because of those 2 missed extra points. He nearly cost the a trip to the NFC game. He also made a few tough kicks, but next year- it's probably time. Not sure he can maintain any kind of focus at this stage. Need a young buck in here.

It's all mental with him. Guy didn't all of a sudden forget how to kick. They don't have to cut him which would be nuts as he could revert to form next year. They could add a second kicker to the roster and de-activate Elliott on game day (hopefully two more games). That means they would need to cut somebody else (like Gates) from the 53 man roster which wouldn't be difficult..
