Would explain a lot.... Jake came through when needed most and that's good enough for me.

Last year before Christmas my wife asked what eagle wasn't pissing me off and I said the kicker....she got me his jersey. This year he was off all year and I was like....this is why I don't get jerseys. Still wore it for the SB and the whole family said they are getting her jersey now lol i guess all is forgiven after that win

These posts bashing our own players are working like a charm. From "Shady McCoy is a bust" to "Jalen Hurts is done", I think we're somehow motivating them 😜

Money when it mattered most.

No matter what, they have to bring in some competition for Jake.

How about if he was injured and you didn't know about it?

May sound odd, but I'd be 'happy' if he was injured. Not that he was injured, but that it was due to injury and not loss of ability. He can heal from an injury, loss of ability isn't something that you can easily come back from and regain.

I saw the clip of the tweet. Jake being injured all season says a lot (if true). I'm not discounting the severity or way it would play a roll in his performance.

I don't want any discord. But, the Eagles follow a system. A little comp never hurt nobody.

Kickers are different - you can't mess with their heads.

Jake has missed 1 FG in his postseason career. This thread is silly

I didn't realise he kicked 16 points - most for a kicker in a SB.

How did they get away with not putting him on the report if true

He scored 20 points in the super Bowl. T-W-E-N-T-Y. YEAH, he shut a lot of us up- including ME.

🤷‍♂️

I have no clue. Maybe the person who responded can provide some information.

With 3-for-3 in Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, 2-for-2 in Super Bowl LVII in Glendale and 4-for-4 Sunday, Elliott is now 9-for-9 in his Super Bowl career, making him the most accurate kicker in Super Bowl history. Ray Wersching, who kicked for the 49ers in the 1980s, was 5-for-5.

Despite a 54-yard miss vs. Washington, Elliott is now 26-for-27 in the postseason for 96.3 percent. Among kickers with at least 10 attempts, he’s fourth all-time, behind Robbie Gould (29-for-29), Evan McPherson (19-for-19) and Chris Boswell (17-for-17).

He was worrying me that he would cost this team a game with how he kicked late in the season. He showed up clutch when it mattered most like usual
