As bad as he was at managing players and getting rid of top talent, he still deserves credit for:

A) Drafting Lane Johnson and Zach Ertz in the same draft; and

B) Bringing in Dave Fipp as ST Coach (TATE had a love affair for this guy for years. Some even wanting to promote him to HC) and ofcourse, Jeff Stoutland.  Stoutland's impact alone has revolutionized this team for over a decade now.

Oh I know bud he wasn’t all bad and I think we have reaped some of the benefits from his time here. But still I don’t think we’d bring him back as an OC? And I’m not sure that would be the best move anyway? Mind you he had a lot of success in college with a certain dual threat / running QB.

Don't know if he's still the same way but I remember him wanting fast paced offenses

Getting Hurts to get rid of the ball in under 3 seconds sounds great

my favorite story about Chip comes from Rex Ryan....Rex said he made the fastest trade in history when Chip called him....

 

"Hi Rex we'd like to trade you LeSean McCoy for Kiko Alonso..."

There is no way in hell that Chip Kelly comes back here.

He is the guy who sent Howie to the dungeon...the guy who traded away Shady...the guy who released Desean.

Just putting this out there...Howie getting sent to the basement was good for Howie..he came back waaaayyyyy better than he was. 

He needed that punishment, he learned and now we have the best GM so it all worked out.
