Posted February 7Feb 7 It just happens the Commanders have a game in 2025 in KC as well as Philly: I suspect no matter who wins the game Sunday, the winner will open at home against the Commanders as I suspect the NFL is going to want to heavily feature Jayden Daniels in national TV games next season.

I suspect they will save that game for either the Thursday after Thanksgiving (12/4) on Amazon Prime or Christmas Day (12/25) on Netflix with the Cowboys (both at home) in the other slot. I have the Eagles playing four Thursday home games (they can play four in this scenario since they play the Thursday night opening game, then I have them at home against the Broncos Thanksgiving night, then playing the Cowboys or Lions on normal rest the following Thursday night and the other on Christmas Day) as they are allowed to have two short weeks in the regular season and both in this case would be ahead of home games, actually having the Eagles play more Thursday games at home (four) than Sunday (three, I have the Rams game as a Monday night home game).
May 14May 14 Author So I was wrong:The Commanders looked like a no-brainer because of Jayden Daniels and the fact the Eagles schedule is loaded with big games, however, at the time I said it it wasn't known the Chargers would be the "home" team for the game in Brazil the next night, with it now rumored they will be playing the Chiefs. This suggests the Eagles got the Cowboys in the opening game because Amazon Prime requested the Cowboys for their opening Thursday night game in Week 2 against either the Chargers or Chiefs. The only way they could have either of the Brazil teams play Thursday in Week 2 would have been against the Cowboys.
