2025 draft priorities

The draft will be here before we know it! I don't follow college football so know nothing about the upcoming draft class. I'm interested though to see what positions we might want to focus on. 

For me, I would like a tackle that Lane can groom as his eventual replacement, like we did with Kelce. I'd like a linebacker in case Baun goes off and gets paid. I'd also like another edge rusher, and perhaps an ODFA kicker to keep Jake on his toes.

What do you think the Eagles should do (usual BPA caveats apply)?

Basically what you said. DE/Edge, DT, OT. Maybe TE to groom behind Goedert like he did behind Ertz. 

With a loaded roster, and no true "needs" they will be able to do a "rich get richer" draft where they get the best talent on their boards. I think they will lose Sweat and Williams in free agency and draft a D linemen high. The rest is gravy.

So… I’m not sure I’m quite ready to turn the page on the season yet but I’ll give it a go 😊.

I agree for the most part that our roster is loaded and so you could argue that there is no true "needs”. I’d say the need is on the DL though and I think right now there is potential it could be a big need.

The reality is Williams or Sweat are going to be gone. There’s a chance both could be back but I don’t see it. I think at least one will be gone and there’s every chance both could be. Now we do have Carter and we do have Davis. There’s also Ojomo and Booker (might need a new contract but I think he’d be cheap). But Williams was a really good player and was able to generate pressure up the middle so he’d be a loss. And then there is BG who may retire but also even if he comes back will be a limited role player.

Thankfully it’s meant to be a loaded draft for the DL.
