After losing two starters and a top back-up in the secondary, one starting LB, and two starting DL, there's no way that we can think/imagine that we've still got the best Defense in the league. My prop for this season is double back to backs, with one of the two being back to back #1 Defenses.

Kempski put together a current CB DC and has him slotted at outside corner (for what that is worth). And yikes, looking at that, it really points to how thin we are now at outside corner. Have to assume CB could very well be a day 1 or day 2 pick now (especially after seeing the success last year's rooks had). Would be nice to add another draft pick to that tandem to solidify the back end of the defense for the next few years. It does look thin behind the starters. Jackson may end up ahead of Ringo in TC, though the team would prefer to play the young players. CB should be a priority in the upcoming draft. Last draft we landed 2 blue-chip DBs. Very happy with that. We were fortunate enough the draft fell the way it did with other teams taking QB's and offensive-side players. Q and Coop fell to our laps, with Q as the first CB taken in that draft. Not sure if Howie sweat thru that process, but that must be quite an experience.

We have a roster with quite a few premium players already. Hurts, Barkley, Brown, Smitty, Johnson, Dickerson, Mailata on offense … Carter, Baun, Mitchell, DeJean, Smith, Davis on defense. We just need to fill in around them.

March 15Mar 15 Not surprising. Steen time, rookie deal. Extension for Jurgens. Eventually Lane's replacement on rookie deal.

If that's the case, likely projects to a 3 or 4. The one term deals as you mention probably don't count. If the Eagles hit on one of the them and they sign elsewhere next year, could result in a pick award in 2027.

I wonder if the Eagles had an offer out to Becton and how much.
