I wonder if the Eagles had an offer out to Becton and how much.

Becton got a chance to revive his career.  He showed his appreciation of this chance with the Eagles, but yet he would take the money as a SB champ and move on.  The team gets a comp pick back for the work to coach him up and chance to perform.

The 2026 draft gonna be lit!

Maybe 2025 draft gonna be lit!

2 years at $20 million for Becton per Rapapport and Garafalo.  If that's the case, likely projects to a 3 or 4.

The one term deals as you mention probably don't count.  If the Eagles hit on one of the them and they sign elsewhere next year, could result in a pick award in 2027.

I think that is $20 million total not $20 million per year.  Should be a 5th round comp

We knew Goedert was on the trade block but first time seeing Huff trade talk being mentioned.

And if it's not a good plan, what are you going to do - unfollow the team?  You won't be missed.

Like I said, if you're not satisfied with the GM's moves, feel free to unfollow the team.  You won't be missed.

We can all guess what Howies longterm goal is but im not gonna try to second guess a dude who has built the best roster in football in the last 3 out of 8 years and won 2 superbowls.

I really hope we can get Huff out of here and recoup some $

2 year 20m seems really cheap. Think we're gonna miss him

As much as I really liked what Becton brought to the running game … devastating second level blocking of LBs … I feel Steen will be better in pass blocking, as well as not a major drop off in run blocking.

I said I hope the plan was good. You were the one that got your feelz all hurt because I said it was uninspiring thus far.

Again, you are an effeminate that cannot handle even a measure of questioning of your Lord and Savior Howie.

Pretty disturbing actually, you put that much stock in another man...Hopefully your girl doesn't see this cuckoldry nature of yours...actually, she probably is already taking advantage of it

My feelings ain't hurt by what you post, and I doubt anybody else's are either.  But you do have an attitude as reflected in this and other posts.  And you have a thing about calling other posters who call you out effeminate which is probably a reflection about repressed feelings you hold about yourself.

Like I said, feel free to unfollow the team if you don't like what the GM is doing.  You will not be missed.

Let’s not ruin a perfectly good thread lol 😂

It’s OK to disagree … but no need to revert to name calling and such.  Especially when still riding a high from WINNING OUR 2ND SUPER BOWL.

🦅

I concur.  No need to CVONize the thread.

Actually some people only come here to b****. I enjoy the irony of their name-calling choices.

The Eagles' offseason so far is basically what we should have expected...minus the CJGJ trade.  Howie is obviously planning for Jalen Carter's monster deal next offseason and Nolan Smith will likely get paid too.  Jurgens still needs to get paid, assuming his outlook is good after his back injury.

All in all, the players they signed will compete to be role players/spot starters, etc. Uche is a nice wildcard signing...could be a camp cut but could also turn out to be the next Baun-like surprise...or anywhere in between.  Dillon is an upgrade at backup RB and I think Shipley will step up nicely into the "3rd down/receiving back" role.  Adoree will give solid competition to Ringo...though I really hope Ringo steps up and wins it.

All this while adding picks in the next 2 drafts.

That said, one FA that is suspiciously still available is Azeez Ojulari.  Many thought he'd be an Eagles target...if Howie is interested, wonder if he's waiting for his price to come down enough to not mess with a comp pick...or...there's a handshake deal that they'll sign him for more money once we get past the date when signings no longer impact comp picks (I think that is after the draft...?).  Of course, having such a handshake deal would mean Ojulari and the Eagles have strong mutual interest and will just wait.  Just something to keep an eye on.

Correct ... that is usually the first week of May.  Not 100% sure of the date but believe it may be Tues, May 6th (4pm).
