It was curious that he would argue with Slay after just winning the SB with him.

Sure wasn't as big of a deal as some made it out to be but still unusual. Wonder what kind of things we don't know.

But hey, for now it's a big loss. Lets hope Brown can take a big step forward. At least we got Reed. CJGJ even mentioned him specifically to get payed. So could be worse.

Wondering if he possibly asked for a new contract/more $.

I don't have much confidence in Brown...seems reckless and always looking for the big hit..like for special teams or to come in for injury but full time,

not so much.

Howie said it: the offseason would look weird at 1st, but the roster isn't completed- he will keep unfolding his plan through training camp. Do we trust him? Has he earned the right to be trusted? Well, for me- I have to say yes, he has. Here is an article that explains what Howie is doing in this offseason.

you just did

Anyone following the Eagles can see that the team essentially took out a huge loan for the 2024 season and gathered a lot of assets it could not afford to keep in future years.  The strategy obviously paid off with the SB victory.  Similar strategy was employed in 2017.

Where is the FA signing to get everyone excited, Howie?

There is none.  The team is more concerned about it's long term future than providing the fanbase with instant gratification in March.

The signing of Barkley last year is enough excitement for 2 offseasons!  :excited:

Dude brought us 2 SBs. If he says it's -10° and a blizzard outside in mid July, im not even opening my blinds to check.

So in other words, no Miles. Which I wasn't 'expecting', but thought could happen with Gainwell leaving.

Possibly an under the radar type of move but BVS was signed to a new 1 year deal.  I didn’t realize he was a RFA entering this new league year.  Of further note he is now listed as a FB and no longer a LB.

Howie brought in quad competition? haha

Yep, just got cut by the Panthers yesterday. I'm not advocating for him, but with Gainwell leaving, I thought it might be a possibility.

You didn't see a 1st next year from any reliable source

Guy is a beast.  247 lbs.  They're already calling the new offensive backfield of Barkley and Dillon the "Quad Squad"

There has to be more than just "we needed to create additional cap space" and "we will need to play Blankenship".  His cap number for 2025 was only $3.7M and for 2026 was $4.7M.  Those aren't ridiculously high cap numbers.  It's quite possible he wore out his welcome here.

One of fav players on D gone yet again.

They did those last year & won a SB.

The draft is what to be excited about.
