Posted February 26Feb 26 If Dallas Goedert gets nicked up for a few games, it would be nice to replace him with, well, a Dallas Goedert look-alike. Outside of the first round I like this TE from LSU. He's 6'5" and 250 lbs. Has very good hands and while not a burner at the position, he has enough speed to be effective. He's a Junior so run blocking will be ok but he should get much better as rookies do over time. I think that if he has heart and determination, which it seems like he does from numerous sources, he could develop into a very good, complete, starting tight end. He looks like the depth the Eagles need at the position. Didn’t know hes Jason Taylor’s son and definitely didn’t know Jason Taylor was with Zach Thomas’ sister.
April 10Apr 10 If he's still there in Rd 2 I'd pull the trigger. He already runs many of the same plays we have drawn up for Goedert ... talk about a smooth transition. The blocking wouldn't be the same, but the blocking aspect usually gets worked on once you reach the pros.

I think as he matures, he'll become a good blocker.

April 20Apr 20 He's not my ideal, but at least he's attainable. This seems like a good value pick.Warren would be too costly, unless he feel enough for Howie to pull off a another surprise deal.
April 23Apr 23 With no reports of the Eagles bringing in a TE for a 30-visit combined with the seeming likelihood Goedert will be gone, something is oddly suspicious. Could Taylor be the surprise player we take either at 32 or in a trade-down scenario ala how we landed Goedert? It's either that, or we have a handshake deal for Michael Mayer in place that happens after Goedert's fate is determined. Or we're punting on TE this year and will feature Jahan Dotson more in 11 personnel.
April 25Apr 25 2nd round trade up to nab this guy. Would Love it. I would also be happy with the safety from Penn State too.
