Posted March 20Mar 20 Bring back; Zack Baun Trade; Eagles trade Dallas Goedert to the Indianapolis Colts for a 5th round pick in 2026 Eagles trade CJGJ and a 6th round pick in 2026 to the Texans for OG Kenyon Green and a 2026 5th round pick (shocked but understand the logic behind it) Restructure/extended/new contract; Reed Blankenship, Cam Jurgens, Lane Johnson Cuts; James Bradberry, Darius Slay FA; Chidobe Awuzie, CB, Tennessee Titans Draft: 1 Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss; Although I’d love for Howie to take a safety like Xavier Watts here, I just can’t see him doing it. DT is a sneaky underrated need. For some reason I can’t see the Eagles signing both Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter to lucrative contracts in the forseable future. Something’s gotta give… Walter Nolen is the perfect Milton Williams replacement and gives Howie a cost effective security blanket in case they let Jordan Davis walk down the road… 2 Marcus Mbow, OG/OT, Purdue; LJ got his extensions so taking a pure OT early will be somewhat of a wasted pick but the Eagles don’t know what they have in Kinnard, Keegan and Steen and took a flyer on Green. Mbow has the versatility to play about every position on the OL and has extensive experience playing both RT and RG. 3 Jonas Sanker, S, Virginia; True FS, competition for Brown, Cine and McCollum. 4 Luke Lachey, TE, Iowa; Depth and likely future starter at TE 5 Tyler Baron, Edge, Miami; Rotational and developmental piece. 5 Nohl Williams, CB, Cal; CB depth 5 Shemar James, LB, Florida; LB depth
March 20Mar 20 Seeing Nolan still there more often I like that very much! would hope better then a 6th for Dallas

Do you think it’s more likely we trade up or down? I guess given how much draft ammo we have (and especially in 2026) maybe it’s more likely this time we move up a few spots.
March 21Mar 21 I like the draft part bud! Not sure about bringing in Chidobe though? I get we need CB depth but we have Adoree here and they keep talking up Ringo so at some point they’ve got to put their money where their mouth is right?

Could go either way, depends on how the board shakes out… However I do think the Eagles are in a sweet spot at #32, especially if they want to address either the OL or DL. Lots of talent will be available in a deep but not top heavy class.

Although I trust Ringo, I do not trust Adoree anymore. He wasn’t even a starter on a mediocre Giants defense. If you sign another vet CB cheap, you simply have more (band-aid) options in case Ringo doesn’t pan out and/or one of your other starters misses time!
March 21Mar 21 Not bad at all. Like the Nolan pick if he is still there. Would make Carter very happy to reduce the double teams. Like Mboe, but don’t think OG in round 2 works. We have options there, and need to see what works best, imo. Like the safety, but most folks have him as late 4 or early 5. Love Lachay. Think he will be a good pro. Good with the rest, as well. Good thought process, as usual. ER

Most boards have Sanker at/around the 8th best safety in the class. Let’s do a headcount here: Emmonwari and Starks are top 25 picks, Watts will go early in round 2 but has the potential to sneak into round one, Winston and Mukuba will likely get drafted in round 2 and after that it’s a toss up between guys like Bowman, Ransom, Moore, Reed, Sanker etc. Sanker fits perfectly in a zone cover scheme as a FS while some of the other kids are better suited to play in the box around the line of scrimmage.
