This is at least peripherally about the Eagles. I watch local news broadcasts on 6ABCs Roku streaming app. The stream is just a rebroadcast of the live program a couple hours ago. Everything is the same with the stream as with the live broadcast EXCEPT sports. Sports with Ducis Rogers et. al. during the live time slots - 5:00 p.m. to 6:30pm are broadcast same as OTA, cable etc. However starting with the stream at 6:30 p.m. on they show a static screen with national scores in lieu of the regular sports stories and music I could do without.  A couple years ago they were showing the Super Bowl score well into the summer.

I wonder why they can't or don't leave the sports segments in along with weather, traffic etc. Something to do with licensing of content not produced by WPVI? But if that's the case why can they broadcast the sports segment during 'regular' times? I get Eagles news here and elsewhere so I'm no more ignorant than usual but its still a mystery.

Mods, if you want to move this feel free.
