Restructure/extended/new contract;

Reed Blankenship, Cam Jurgens, Dallas Goedert

Cuts;

James Bradberry, Darius Slay

FA;

Ja’Whaun Bentley, LB, NE Patriots;

Dee Alford, CB, Atlanta Falcons.

Trade alert!

Eagles trade #32 to the New Orleans Saints for #40, #93 and #184.

Saints select QB Jalen Milroe

Draft:

1 Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame;

Trade alert!

Eagles trade #63, #134 and a 2026 6th to the LA Chargers for #55

2 Darius Alexander, DT, Toledo;

3 Charles Grant, OT, William & Mary;

3 Oluwafemi Oladejo, Edge, UCLA;

5 Teddye Buchacon, LB, Cal;

5 Jaydon Blue, RB, Texas;

5 Orondo Gadsden II, TE, Syracuse;

6 Clay Webb, OG, Jacksonville State;

I like the mock offseason here, especially getting a veteran LB in wake of Nakobe Dean recovering from injury and Oren Burks leaving in FA. Despite bringing back Zach Baun, linebacker is still a sneaky need, and I'm glad you addressed it here in FA.

The trade downs are solid in terms of value and realistic. I can't see Howie Roseman taking a safety in Round 1 but with your mock trade, I can see him pulling the trigger in Round 2.

Darius Alexander is someone who could even sneak into the tail end of Rnd 1 so I think the mock trade up is appropriate here.

Thanks man!

Agreed that Alexander could sneak into the first round but maybe his age turns some teams off. He’s a 25 year old rookie.

Compare that to the likes of Carter, Davis, Nolen, Dean, Mitchell, DeJean, Ringo etc and he’d be the oldest of the bunch entering his first year. He’d be 29 when his rookie contract expires…

Nice draft!

Nice tradeback scenario - Watts makes sense and is realistic at 40 (perhaps the Saints would like Dart?); Darius has nice size and looked the part at the Senior Bowl, perhaps he slips a bit due to age (24) / small school / depth of the DT class; while I think Charles Grant would typically be a 3rd rounder, I expect him to go much closer to 64 because this draft is so thin on OTs that can move and have long arms; Femi, noice; Blue, the eagles like him enough for a 30 visit.
