Posted April 7Apr 7 Let’s Talk Visits Posted: April 4th, 2025 | Author: Tommy Lawlor The draft is just three weeks away. I still haven’t figured out which QB I want the Eagles to take so we can get rid of that bum Jalen Hurts. He hasn’t won a Super Bowl in over a month. We are getting more visit info. Some people question how meaningful that is. You be the judge. 2024 CB Quinyon Mitchell CB Cooper DeJean ED Jalyx Hunt WR Ainias Smith WR Johnny Wilson 2023 DT Jalen Carter ED Nolan Smith OL Tyler Steen CB Kelee Ringo I would say visits gave us some pretty good hints the past two years. And they can mean something beyond the draft. A couple of other guys came to town in 2023. ED Azeez Ojulari QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson Maybe this year proves to be different. But history tells us the Eagles will take at least a couple of the 30 guys they bring to Philly for visits. So let’s take a look at what we know so far. VISITS RB Jaydon Blue – Texas *** OT Charles Grant – William & Mary OT Jalen Travis – Iowa State OT Anthony Belton – NC State OT Marcus Mbow – Purdue OT Josh Conerly – Oregon *** OG Donovan Jackson – Ohio State OG Dylan Fairchild – Georgia *** ED Elijah Roberts – SMU ED Donovan Ezeiruaku – Boston College ED Tyler Baron – Miami ED Femi Oladejo – UCLA ED Nic Scourton – Texas A&M *** DT Shemar Turner – Texas A&M *** CB Maxwell Hairston – Kentucky CB Jacob Parrish – Kansas State CB Trey Amos – Ole Miss *** INTEREST OT Ozzy Trapilo – Boston College – Eagles OL coach at his Pro Day workout OG Drew Kendall – Boston College – Eagles OL coach at his Pro Day workout OG Jackson Slater – Sacramento St – Eagles had multiple interview DL Xavier Carlton – Cal – Eagles DL coach ran his Pro Day workout ED Kyle Kennard – South Carolina – Eagles tried to meet with him at Pro Day LB Teddye Buchanan – Cal – Eagles have had multiple meetings with him CB Korie Black – Oklahoma St – Eagles met with him *** Let’s analyze the players and positions. RB – The Eagles have only been linked to one player. Blue is a versatile, explosive player. He has blazing speed and big play ability. OT – Jeff Stoutland likes players who stand out in some way. Grant, Mbow and Conerly are all gifted athletes. They could play OG or OT and have fantastic movement skills. Travis and Melton are each at least 6-6 and 336. Those are big maulers. OG – Jackson has good versatility and size. He started at LG and LT. He would need to be an early pick. Fairchild is a Day 3 player. He’s got good size, but isn’t special physically. I think Stoutland likes him for a combination of his size/ability and his personality. ED – The Eagles are looking at a lot of edge rushers. Some could go in the first round, others on Day 3. Ezeiruaku and Oladejo are smaller guys. The other three have a bit more size and can rush inside as well as playing on the edge. The Eagles will be drafting at least one pass rusher. DT – With Milton Williams gone, I’m surprised the Eagles aren’t bringing in more DTs. I guess they could have and we just aren’t hearing about it. Turner is an athletic DT. He played on the edge and inside in college. CB – The CBs have one key thing in common…speed. Hairston ran 4.28. Parrish ran 4.35. Amos ran 4.43, but was 195 pounds. Hairston and Amos could be in play as early as pick 32. Parrish is a Day 2 guy. The "interest” players fit the same description. Trapilo is a big OT. Carlton and Kennard are versatile rushers. Black is a speedy corner. *** Eagles scouts have been going to a lot of Pro Days. They are checking out a lot of prospects. It is hard to make much of that unless it is a really small school. Knowing the southeast regional scout was at Bama or Georgia just doesn’t tell us much. Coaches are a better sign of special interest. We aren’t seeing Eagles coaches at as many Pro Days this year. I don’t know why this is. http://igglesblitz.com/2025/04/lets-talk-visits/
