Posted April 24Apr 24 It's tough trying to get a feel for what the Eagles will do in this draft. I can see them doing any of the trade up, trade back, or stay put options and could go in multiple directions as far as the players they take. Since I still feel pretty good about my initial mock, I'm doing something similar albeit changing up some players. In the end, I think Howie does a small trade back from 32, but then does a trade up from 64. For some reason, that's just what I think he'll do.Round 2 - TE Mason Taylor - Eagles trade back from 32 to 40 with New Orleans and get one of the Saints' 2 third-rounders...likely pick 93. Just as they did after their last SB championship, Howie trades back and selects a TE. There was not a report about Taylor coming in for a 30-visit, but you have to think he is high on their board. At the minimum, Taylor will be on the level of Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert for the next 5-10 years with the potential to be even more dynamic.Round 2 - EDGE Nic Scourton - Now armed with 2 third round picks, Howie trades 96 to Denver to move up in Round 2 to get Scourton.Round 3 - DT TJ Sanders - Howie can't believe Sanders is still out there and makes another deal with New Orleans. He gives them back 93 + Dallas Goedert + a 4th and 5th to move up to 71. Well worth it! Round 5 - OT Jalen Travis - The next enrollment into Stoutland U. Swing tackle.Round 5 - S Jaylen Reed - Depth and competition.Round 5 - OG/C Jackson Slater - Legit competition to start at RG with the floor of being a true backup Center.*Post draft: Sign Justin Simmons
