Trey Hendrickson (Bengals DE) - re-signed 1 year deal with Bengals

If I'm Howie and maybe he has already tried, I'm calling Cincy and offering Huff and a 4th or 5th for Hendrickson. Cinch gets a DE that has a set salary for the next 2 seasons and Howie works his

numbers on a short term extension. I may be pipe dreaming but who cares...we aren't using Huff and he could be a better fit for Cincy's Defensive scheme which is changing this year.

Huff and a 4th? I’m not sure that’ll be anywhere near enough?

He is 30 and wants a payday.

Hendrickson wants 30 mil to play. and Not interested in 15 mil at his current offer.

We don't have extra 30 mil, with the Carter resigning around the corner.

Forget about Hendrickson.

Yes, I get what he wants but at his age teams aren't jumping through hoops to give a 30 year old top $$ and have to give up assets..he needs to look no further then Reddick.

I did say on a restructured deal that he will get a raise but won't stretch us out to not be able to keep Carter. With the combo of Huffs $$ and add a couple million to give hime a boost over a 3 year period..maybe 2 year...

to me it's worth the shot. The younger DE's are getting the huge dollars and he can't expect the same. Mack,Bosa, all had to take less but still more then Bengals are paying him or seem willing to, they screwed him...

Trading Huff after June 1st would save a maximum of $4.4million, then we'd need to find a minimum $27mill a year to even get Hendrickson to talk, we're currently at $25million and change in cap space and we haven't signed our first 2 days draft picks yet.

Your Mack and Bosa point is irrelevant, neither have been near Hendrickson's production level the last 5 years, If Hendrickson was available for a bad DE and a couple of day 3 picks there are teams all over the league that would write a blank cheque for a guy with 72 sacks over the last 5 seasons.

Eagles can't afford him. Need to extend Jalen Carter and others.
