Posted June 22Jun 22 Help me out. How would you paint it? It serves as an office, media room, game room etc...I was thinking a black painted wall for the tv, maybe painting over like shiplap boards? Then midnight green ceiling and some grey walls?
June 23Jun 23 I had the idea to do 3 different colors in our bedroom at my house and I regret it. We have a ceiling color, and accent wall, and a different color on the other walls. It sounded better in my head. I think it looks like we have tried to do too much.First, Id suggest doing what you like. Its yours!Personally, Id say, youre going to have the eagles colors in there with all of your decorations and memorabelia. So, I dont think you need to hit every paint color to get the point across that this is your eagles den. Id probably recommend cutting that down to 2 colors. But, its just paint so try what you want, and if you dont like it you can paint over it.
June 23Jun 23 You'll get more responses if you post in here. Sadly a lot of members don't venture out of the blog thread

June 23Jun 23 I agree with HE on the paint colors. Too many looks chaotic and you don't really notice anything.Light gray walls will be neutral to let all the Eagles and other memorabilia pop, and that looks like a small room so a lighter color will help brighten it up. I wouldn't paint the ceiling a different color in that small space. Other suggestions:Change the builder grade boob light to something nicer, maybe a ceiling fan (might help reduce the need for the noisy window A/C unit) as long as it doesn't distract/reflect glare on the TV for best viewing. Get other lighting in the room so you can turn off the ceiling light to not have glare, reflection or annoyance in your eyes while watching games, shows or gaming. Replace the curtain with something that matches the colors but still has blackout material, you can get that in white too. Or Eagles material with the logo or something. You have a lot of stuff in that room, is the treadmill staying? To display Eagles and other stuff, get a white cube storage (Target, Walmart, Ikea). The white against the light gray wall will make all your sports memorabilia show nicely.Put some additional display higher on the walls to raise it up since you have so much furniture and need your desk space. Put long white shelves across the top of walls, or shorter ones that are staggered so you can put things on them. Personally I'm a minimalist, I don't like clutter and too many things in a room. A lot of people go nuts and looks like they vomited all their memorabilia. It's so much that you don't notice or enjoy any of the pieces. Keep it simple, and have dedicated space to showcase things that you enjoy looking at.

Looks like it's his office, TV lounge, gaming station and workout room. He probably has to sleep on that couch when she's mad at him."Hey honey, is it ok if I paint the room and put some of my Eagles stuff up? I already work, sleep, watch TV and game in there, would it be ok?"

Man this could get expensive.

Paint, cheap wood shelves painted white, cube storage at Target or search Facebook marketplace.
June 24Jun 24 you can easily let your ''pieces'' set the color tone. you've already got a white wall (i'm assuming) which is a primary Eagles color. I have a small alcove used for my office. White stucco walls so painting a dark color isn't the best but the pieces work both as the accent and primary in some cases. if you decided to go with the green primary, avoid a satin or glossy finish.

RTK would be proud.
June 24Jun 24 I would do black behind the tv, midnight green walls and a gray ceiling. Or just all midnight green walls (even the tv side) and a gray ceiling.

June 25Jun 25 Always makes me cringe when a man says their wife lets them do something.... Just dont have a wife and then you can use your whole house

I think you’d be better off with lighter colors and then some framed posters or pictures. I posted some ideas below.
