Going to run through and attempt to give a factual, unbiased progress report on the MAGA issues that we kept hearing about during the election...

Ukraine - The war is still ongoing and we're still at risk of WWIII breaking out at any moment and now it seems Trump is about to re-arm Ukraine again.
Inflation - Prices haven't come down, in fact they've gone up, and inflation remains exactly where it was when Trump came into office.
Immigration - Trump has given the green light for businesses to employ illegal/undocumented workers and Stephen Miller is raging about how Obama deported more illegals than he ever did.
Debt - Congress just passed a funding bill that increases the debt by $5T, more than any other funding bill in history.

Tariffs - I honestly can't think of the words to describe what's happened over the past six months and I honestly have no idea who has what tariffs or if they're even in effect.
Epstein - Trump and Bondi completely buried the evidence and now he's hurling insults at anyone who's asking questions about it.

So after going back and re-reading the list, one question keeps popping into my head...

Unbiasedly the only thing you can give him credit for is immigration. Granted his methods are illegal, unethical, unorthodox, etc.

The reversal on Ukraine is probably the one thing I wasn't expecting. It really seemed to coincide, timing wise, with Trump getting tangled up with the Israel-Iran conflict... which probably should be on the list.

I think the border control is the one plus. The deportation stuff is largely performative and illegal.

He's basically course corrected and said illegals in red counties are good, illegals in blue counties are bad. So whatever work he does in that regard he can take credit for. But it has to be a kick in the teeth for the MAGAs who kept crying about illegals working their jobs.

Trump promised no new wars.... Then starts dropping bombs on Iran. Should definitely be on the list.

It doesn't matter if Trump did anything to solve the Ukraine war, inflation, the budget deficit, tariffs, Epstein, or anything else... Trump paid them all lip service in the campaign. That's all that counts. Anybody who lived through Trump's first administration knew they weren't getting any campaign promises. It will be somebody else's fault when nothing is accomplished by 2028.

After a disastrous Q1 the markets rebounded in Q2 and it made up for the losses. I have to admit I made good gains in Q2. So I give some credit for that...I guess.

At first, I thought this thread would be about our personal well being 😄The last election did not go well. Joe's whole legacy will go down in the ishter for thinking he could run again. Anyway, I have begun to sort of check out and carry on living my life as usual. It's not worth arguing with or even losing friends or family members over. Should I get really fired up over something, though, I will make it known. It's a ish show of epic proportions.

mass layoffs to the FAA…then planes started dropping out of the sky.

massive cuts to the national weather service…then texas suffers a deadly flash flood that kills a bunch of kids.

broken campaign promises that he only made to get elected.

If he went about it the right way and had them build cases, arrest, go through the trials, etc. instead of dropping bombs (pun intended) and just snatch people up and sent them to camps then I think there would be less pushback. Sure there would be leftists still mad but I think majority would approve
