Posted July 13Jul 13 Visits are being made to Iowa, South Carolina, and the talk show circuit.Newsome is in.Bashir is on MTP this morning, talking like he's running.Booker and Mayor Pete are in again. Youngkin and Paul are in from the gop side. However they both have an IQ in the triple digits which is a major turn off for the average republican voter.https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5397731-south-carolina-2028-presidential-hopefuls/
July 13Jul 13 I will be interested in this thread. Looking forward to 3 1/2 more prosperous years, but also to move on from this level of divisiveness once Trump can no longer run. Where does Stephen A. Smith stand in polling currently for Democrats?
July 13Jul 13 Author It's way too early for polling to offer any insights. Fwiw undecided is leading the latest emerson poll by a large margin. When they start having debates people will start paying attention.

July 13Jul 13 Haven't really thought much about it. For me, personally, I believe we haven't come anywhere close to the hard times we need in order for the majority of the US population to realize we need serious candidates with serious ideas on how to fix the federal debt and equity problems we have in this country. Clearly, most people in here are still cool with increasing the debt by $5T, not cutting spending in any meaningful way, and paying for the federal government and subsidizing the elite by increasing taxes on the lower and middle class. If the common man woke up from their stupor and was finally willing to take their vote seriously and not be a low information zombie I think the list on both sides would be different. As much as I enjoy listening to Mayor Pete slay dragons on Fox News, he's more of the same from Democrats. He won't be the one to stand up to his party and say no mas. Bernie has the conviction required to do the job but I don't believe billionaires are the source of all our problems either.Based on the past six months we basically have a typical Democrat in office now outside of tariffs. Spending is out of control, we're ramping up in Ukraine, inflation is exactly where it was six months ago, illegals are still working our cheap labor jobs, and we're still beholden to Israel. So on a scale of 1 - 10 about how jazzed I am about 2028, I'm a solid 3... with all 3 being Trump out of government for good.

No one knew who Bill Clinton was 2 years before he was elected for the same reason. When he starts actively running for president, campaigning, and debating that will change.

They could have gone toe to toe.

We are past a mostly painless solution to our debt and they aren't giving up their seats from the fallout.
