Send him to Vegas. Out of conference, garbage team. The way NFL QB development is these days, he could have a nice career. Too many teams are too impatient with young quarterbacks now, expecting immediate success from kids who have no experience, so milk the badly run teams when you can

Tanner has a chance to really show what he can do and build up his trade value especially against a bad football team with no direction at the moment.

Raiders are really unlikely as chances are they get first overall pick and their QBnof choice.

Browns make a ton of sense. They may still want a look at Shedeur so may not want to commit to trading up for a QB. High second for Tanner and they still have 2 firsts to add to the line/at receiver. They can let Tanner and Shedeur battle it out. If one shows great. If not they are not committed and can draft a QB in 2027

Get at least a 3rd for him. But he's got to go, I'm sure he wants move as well. He's probably itching at a chance to start somewhere.

As soon as the season ends, send him to Miami for a starting OLineman. Since our OLine is poo. 💩

I’m not sure if he has to go. I mean the sample size of McKee’s experience is very small. Who’s giving up a big contract to someone with only 2 career starts? (and that’s adding a game they haven’t even played yet.) The biggest issue is for Eagles fans he’s overhyped. We notoriously overhype the backup quarterback. From the hype you would think Tanner has been playing at a high level for multiple seasons, but really this hype is based on two games and one start. What happens when he has to play for a longer period of time and teams game plan for him off film work? What happens when he has to play a gauntlet of real NFL teams and not bottom feeders? He may want to be a starter somewhere else, but he’s going to need to really show something to get a chance to move him for value, because right now what we have seen isn’t enough to convince any GM with a brain to give up a 3rd or more and a huge contract just based on less than 3 total games.

How can we expect to get a high second for McKee? What is the based on? I mean at this point look at what Jones did out in Sanfran by holding down the fort while Purdy was injured. Why would a GM choose an unknown like McKee and give up so much for a comparable question mark when the could give up possibly less for a guy like Jones? On a side note, I wouldn’t wish being the Browns QB on anyone at this point. It’s a career killer.

Well that shows he has some talent if he’s successful, but this is his moment to prove himself in a game with some level of importance to the Eagles. I don’t even know who will be playing QB for the Commies. Not sure it’s going to matter anyway. The bottom line is this is a game McKee should still be able to win.

I can't say that he "should" win, I'll only go as far as saying it's a game he "can" win. When judging his performance in this game, we will have to grade on a curve since he's playing with Week 3 preseason teammates.

But yeah, if he overcomes that and still looks good, all the better. But I would imagine he would look really good if he were playing with our starters.

The honest truth is I don’t know what he’s worth, but he has looked very good, albeit against bad teams/in pre season.

Re Mac Jones; maybe someone will trade for him, but he had a few years of mediocrity and QBs often thrive in that San Fran system.

Re high second rounder; we will see, but we got seconds for both AJ Feely (#35) and Kevin Kolb. If he play well on Sunday I think it’s definitely possible. Teams have gambled much more to try and land a franchise QB.

NFL Teams, for the most part, are desperate for possible starters at the QB position. Just look at the Kolb debacle from years ago.

Howie can fleece a GM for a 3rd and a 5th, maybe, for Tanner. I'd do that in a heartbeat. 😎🦅

Remember though AJ Feeley played in six games that season and the team mostly protected him. Kolb also played in multiple games prior to the Green Bay debacle when Vick took over. Sure teams might be desperate enough to make a move for McKee, but it doesn’t seem like there’s enough here for a team to offer that much unless McKee pulls out an outstanding performance on Sunday.

Just feels like a game he should be able to be successful considering the Commies are onto their third string quarterback. That team on the other side is ready to start their offseason and winning doesn’t nothing for them other than hurt their draft position. Let’s not forget when the Eagles benched Hurts against the Commies in his rookie year to ensure a higher draft position. It is not in the interest of the Commies to win this game especially if the win doesn’t do much to hurt the Eagles or help themselves.

Its weird that guys like Rueb and Dave Z think the Eagles could get a 3 or holdout for a 2 for McKee.

No way in hell am I moving him for that.

Keep him for year 4 and then get compensation if someone pays him.

If someone thinks he is better than anyone in the draft and will pay you like he is 1st round 2026 talent, now you consider the offers.

You would seriously not move him for a 2nd? Obviously get all we can but there is a big difference between an early or mid round second and a (best case) compensatory third.

Its not worth having an inferior backup in case you need him for 5 games.

If its a haul then it is worth it IMO.

There are other ways of getting capable back ups. Have a look at our history of second round picks, particularly over last 6 years. If the most you can get is a mid to high second you absolutely take it to improve this team.

Should be a lot of options to trade him for something good if he is valued by the rest of the league… Not really any good free agent QB’s a couple old heads and probably the qb with the most upside is Willis from the packers who showed a little something the past couple weeks. On top of that it’s not a huge qb draft like years past.

Howie likes to do conditional picks in later drafts.

So, it's gonna be for something in the following year's draft, not this year's draft.

A 2nd or 3rd in next year's draft.

His sorry arse needs to be gone as far as I'm concerned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He definitely won’t have anyone coughing up a 2nd for him after the way he played today.

Yeah, after that performance a more relevant question would seem to be will he be cut next year.

After today lucky to get a fourth or fifth.

Yep - Siri and KP managed to lose us the 2nd seat and kill his trade value.

Only positive. At least if this season ends the way it is likely to for us, we won’t have an offseason of posters demanding an open competition with Hurts.

The right and proper thing to do is to cut Tanner McKee at the end of this season.

Anybody that wants him can have him.

Nobody was giving up a 2nd for him before today either. I have proof.

Today, we saw that he's a good backup QB for our team and that's where the most value is for him. He'll be here next year and maybe even sign a short extension to stay here another year or two. He's not ready to be a starter, but if he plays on a team full of starters, he's probably good enough to fill in for a stint.

Well this game tampers some of that talk about trading him for a high pick.

I honestly don’t believe that 2nd was ever there and the only team we possibly had any shot of trading him to was NO. Tanner McKee has two career starts under his belt. Who’s giving up a 2nd for that? That wasn’t happening prior to this game. Think about it. A team would give up a 2nd and then have to sign him to an extension based off two games? That GM would be fired.

You will never get a high comp pick for McKee unless Hurts is out for an extended amount of time to allow McKee to prove he can consistently play at a high level in this league. I don’t see that happening so at best he will get a contract for a backup or maybe he gets a DP like contract when Reid brought him in to play while McNabb develops.

Come on now. Have you forgotten these fans were begging for Minshew after he beat the lowly Jets? They will be calling for McKee after the first three and out. How many starting quarterbacks who outplayed Mahomes in the SB and won the SBV MVP would be in the immediate following season have idiot fans begging for him to be benched for a guy with one career start on a team with double digit wins? This isn’t over at all. In fact you will likely see the talent around him excuses so until he succeeds or fails with the ones, this will not be over.
