Posted July 26Jul 26 I'm not here to eviscerate Jared Goff. He earned the right to be the #1 overall pick. He's a Matt Ryan (regular season) type QB who can have statistical seasons that compilation and metrics would put him in that top 5 range. The problem with Jared Goff is that he is traditional and ignorant morons favor traditional QBs in any comparison vs non-traditional QBs. The other problem is he is McNabian in the playoffs (9 TDs and 9 turnover plays) Playoffs are rough. You need a guy like Hurts. The current knock on the best football player at the end of the 2025 season (SB MVP) is that HE HAS A GOOD TEAM!I'm pretty sure every HoF QB and SB winning QB HAD A GOOD TEAM!Many clowns posing as journalists are ranking Goff ahead of Hurts due to Hurts' teammates.Lets take a look at the 2024 Lions and EaglesRegular Season Wins:Lions 15Eagles 14Offensive Team RankingsLions 1 points 2 yardsEagles 7 points 8 yardsTeam RB Stats (top 3 backs) He's got SAQUON!!!!Lions 2326 rushing 3224 yards from scrimmage 28 TDsEagles 2377 rushing 2806 yards from scrimmage 16 TDsYou don't get to punish Hurts for his 630 yards rushing and 14 TDs to Goff's 56 and 0Goff also adds zero to the run scheme where Allen, Hurts, and Jackson types kill defenses just by being a threatGo back and look at all-world Fred Warner screwed into the turf at the Linc in the NFCCG in fear of Hurts as an option.Saquon was watching that 2022 NFCG game on TVSee if you can find the common thread in the Eagles dominant run game2022 - Sanders, Hurts, Gainwell2023 - Swift, Hurts, Gainwell2024 - Saquon, Hurts, GainwellHint: its the guy with 1995 yards and 42 TDs, not Gainwell.Receiving Stats (top 3 pass catchers)Lions 2990 yards 26 TDsEagles 2408 yards 17 TDsOffensive LinesEagles ranked 1Lions ranked 1AOffensive Pro Bowl Players (not including Hurts and Goff)Lions 4Eagles 3Offensive Line Pro Bowl PlayersLions 3Eagles 2All Pro Offensive PlayersAll Pro voting and teams are weird but here is the list:https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2024/allpro.htmLions 4Eagles 5INJURIES (the Lions had all the injuries... only on defense)Lions O-line - 6 games missedEagles O-line - 6 games missed (plus no chance for Hurts to get stats in week 18)Lions Weapons 6 (including 3 Montgomery games where they still had Gibbs)Eagles Weapons 12 (including the Tampa game without Brown, Smith, and Lane Johnson)IntangiblesHurts as a dual threat and field general is elite, Goff is a zero run threat and nothing special as a field general.Hurts is a playoff god (only 10/10 guy with 2 of the best SB performances in history) Goff is a joke in big playoff gamesHe got to a SB because his DB ran over a Saint and the refs missed it. July 26Jul 26 Author Morons don't need logic so they can get away with this but there is a weird dynamic where Hurts (2nd in Heisman voting) gets penalized because his #2 WR won the Heisman. There is also the 2nd round pick and not traditional like Brees thing. Brees was allowed to be a 2nd round pick.Lamar went at 32Hurts went at 53Brady went at pick 199Trevor went 1Daniel Jones went 6McCorkle went 15Fashion Fool went 1 then completed 47% of his passes with 3 turnovers in the SB.How stupid do you have to be to factor draft position into NFL play?2024 Brown and Smith combined for 1912 yards and 15 TDsJamar Chase by himself had 1708 and 17 TDs (2619 and 27 TDs including Higgins)This is somehow an unfair advantage for Hurts?

For me, they don't exist. I don't do phonies. That's it. Hurts knows who he is, and THAT is all that matters.

Rich Eisen died when he ruined his honor and reputation over his friend's entitled scumbag son on draft day. I will never watch him again. He does not belong on the air. I watched or listened to about 10 hours a week of his content during the season, he has earned setting that to zero.
July 29Jul 29 Thing is… These media analysts do it because they know it’ll provoke a reaction. And there’s no better and bigger reaction than us Philly fans because we care so much. They do it for the clicks and they do it for the viewing figures because it is easy to do.

It feels Goooooood to do that. Like Stephen A Smith- zero support from me- he doesn't exist.
July 29Jul 29 In today's NFL, if a QB plays for a good team, that usually means that UFAs either choose to re-sign with that team or come from another team to sign with that team. In most cases the QB is the face of the franchise and the de facto team leader. So he may be a big reason influencing those decisions. Things were obviously different back when a guy like Terry Bradshaw played. There was no free agency and player trades were the only way out from a team other than being cut. So today, people shouldn't be knocking a good QB for having good players around him --- he's likely one of the reasons they're there. I think people should factor in whether or not a team is playing as a team. Is everybody on the same page? Is everybody buying in? Do they all trust each other? If so, who is the biggest team leader? Who is saying the things teammates are repeating? If it's the QB, then that tells you an awful lot right there. I understand that everybody has some kind of preferred "style" of QB play and when they rank QBs, they often rank them by how well they fit withing the style parameters. QB is a position on the field, though --- not a style. The game is always evolving. The QB's role has changed with rule changes throughout the history of the sport. I feel like we're in a period of change right now where the ideal QB is no longer just a passing statue. Look at the guys coming into the NFL the last decade --- most of them can run AND pass. I'm not talking Tim Tebow here ---- I mean really pass well when they pass. Colleges programs are utilizing their abilities and have brought in some innovation that has made it's way into the NFL. As I said ... the game is continuing to evolve --- as is the QB position itself. At the end of the day, did your QB help you win?
