The team could then opt to play in the cold/rainy weather and I don't see a reason not to considering they are used to the cold weather and harsh elements. It would still provide some home field advantage. And retract the roof for SB or events. It would be worthwhile IMO to look at stadiums with retractable roofs to see how often games are played with the roof open compared to roof closed. My guess is that roof closed would lead by a pretty healthy margin. Then ask about cost retractable roof vs. dome.
August 15Aug 15 I just asked AI for the history and sadly it's not good. Retractable roofs usually stay closed even though it's surprisingly cheap to open and closeMaybe fans can support a new stadium with a condition that it's only closed for the SB?Though if one were to build a stadium that keeps the crowd covered but leaves the field open then we'd at least keep the bad weather games but the higher ups would be comfyI'm on the side of wanting an updated stadium but I do love the bad weather games. I don't know how Lurie feels. He's not exactly a cheap owner so maybe he'd leave it open except for the SBIt was hilarious to see that Dallas spent so much but doesn't use it

I think opposing teams were more afraid of the field than they were the Eagles, and it helped

September 14Sep 14 If they build another new stadium would current season ticket holders with seat licenses have to buy new ones.

September 15Sep 15 What about the best of both worlds; a domed stadium with open walls. Keeps the snow and rain out but still have the cold weather.
