Posted August 4Aug 4 After a week of camp it looks like our starters are pretty well set except for the corner opposite of Q and the 2nd safety. Steen seems to have settled in. So lets look at our backup battles. All of this is based on news reports and pod casts - EagleEye, Inside the Birds, and Birds 365. OffenseQB - DTR v McCord. I don't believe Howie will risk having McCord claimedRB - no question, its, Saquan, Shipley and DillonWR - Marshall, Cooks, Wilson, and Smith are fighting for 2 slots. Reports make it sound like Cooks in in the lead. Smith is doing well, Marshall is injured after looking good and Wilson has not shined. TE - Calcaterra is a shoo in which leaves a cast of 5 looking for a slot. EJ Jenkins is out with a hamstring, the 2 FA's Granson and Bryand look so-so OL - There are 3 spots available after the starters and Kendall. Pryor is aheadso that leave 2. Lamb, last years draft pick Keegan, Kinnard, this years draft picks Williams and Hinton, and Pierce the UDFA are all scrambling for those roster spots. Figure one of Howie's 2025 draft picks makes it, so it's 6 fighting for a single spot. DefenseEdge seems set with OGBO the odd man outDT - After the top 4 it's Booker, Young and Hall looking at one spot. LB - Another one that seems pretty well setCB- Still a starter battle between Ringo and Jackson. McWiliams and Ricks seems sure. Th eoonly question is will they keep 6. S - Mukuba or Brown as started. Backup battle is between McCollum, UDFA Hood, Cine and Andre Sam.
August 4Aug 4 I would be stunned if the Eagles only keep ten offensive linemen on their initial 53 man roster. I think eleven is the minimum, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep twelve.

Doubtful anyone we cut there will be claimed. unless they play great in the next 3 games

Backups Kendall (C), Lamm (LT & RT), Hinton (T) and Pryor (4 both guards and borth tackles)Defense = 25DT=5Edge=5LB=5 (Including Campbell and with Nakobe active on the PUP to start the season)CB=7 S=3 (Because Cooper DeJean is also a safety)
August 8Aug 8 I am really worried at :1) Brett Toth being listed as a backup Center. He sucks.2) Cooper returning punts. Too important in CB and Safety positions.Less worried but questioning:Johnny Wilson regressing. Other receivers like Cooks are having better camp.Makuba having a rough start. I wonder if Makuba even plays this year.???
