Why is he on the PS? The guy may not be a starter and made mistakes, but he never looked as bad as the guys yesterday.

Ricks was released from the PS in October

Well, what a great choice that was

That's about the same time Jackson started playing well in coverage. What's your point?

Well he is still unsigned and not on any practice squad. I don't know what peoples obsession over this guy is. Clearly no other teams think anything of him.

He's clearly the kind of guy you want to have around when you are resting players for the playoffs. The Eagles failed to think that through before releasing him from the practice squad 6 weeks into the season. Apologists like you are always glossing over huge mistakes like this! Fire Howie Now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I said. He is a better depth piece than JB or Ringo

Just an observation that he never looked as bad as what we saw

It was pretty shocking how bad the back up DB's were. I am assuming Ringo is on the team because he is good in special teams. With that said those Interference penalties were embarrassingly awful.

I doubt it. Ricks had a good first preseason and he flashed on a couple plays vs miami as a rookie, but he was not a great tackler and was not blessed with good speed athletically . He has a career passer rating against of 100.9. Compare that to Ringo: 95.1 (83.7 this season) and Bennett: 81.8 (66.5 this season). Ricks has a career missed tackle percentage of 16.0 compared to Ringo: 5.2% and Bennett: 15.6%.

Ringo still has a lot of growing to do but being one of the NFL's top gunners on special teams and providing depth at CB is not a bad use of a late 3rd round pick. It took Josh Jobe 4 years to become a solid NFL starter. It would be nice if Ringo could do something similar. Keep in mind that Jobe has been in the NFL 4 seasons and is 27 years old. This is Ringo's 3rd season and he is only 23. I'm disappointed in what I've seen from Bennett so far because I liked Booker. Maybe Bennett can improve his tackling and technique in camp next year.

Let's stop pretending that Ricks was better than he was, though. At best, he was more of the same. On average he was slightly worse.

You seem to have a lot more invested in this than I do.
