There’s got to be some sorta solution to this every time it comes up. Maybe leave it up to the voters ?

I don't support gerrymandering in any form. I get California trying to balance Texas's extreme gerrymander with one of its own, but if Texas was ultimately not going to redraw the maps it would have been nice to see Democrats take the high road and pull back from the precipice. Gerrymandering is one of my pet peeves, and a number of states - mostly blue states - have made good faith efforts to try and reduce the amount of politicking involved in drawing district maps.The US is already effectively gerrymandered in favor of Republicans by the way the state maps are drawn. Compounding that at the house level makes it worse.
