Anybody with half a brain can see that the invasion of illegals that took place under the Biden administration was done to facilitate a permanent Democratic majority in the country. Previous censuses counted persons in the country illegally. The number of people counted in the census, regardless of whether or not such persons are here illegally, goes to allocation of Congressional districts. This unfairly skewed the number of seats allocated to Democrats in Congress.

Trump correctly is ordering a new census with the directive that only persons who are not in the country illegally are to be counted. Watch the Democrats heads explode over this one. I'm sure the leftists in CVON will have a hissyfit over this one.

Oh FFS. The last time there was a census I got selected for a special study, where I was required to fill out the same freaking form every 90 days. It got so bad I had to go to our congressman to get out of it. For all of the useless big government nonsense, the census is right up there.

I've got nothing against a census. It's a pain in the ass but necessary. Now do I trust this moron and his cronies to do a legit census? Absolutely not.

I'm confused here... the last census (didn't that occur in 2020?) the Biden administration (which started in 2021) counted all of the people who came into the country illegally during his term (from 2021-2025) to skew the representation in congress. Were Doc Brown and Marty McFly involved in this operation?

I think that the issue that some people might have is that we have a process in this country for decennial census and allocation of seats, and you're trying to use something that happened after the last decennial census to justify rewriting the rules. I'm probably just another leftist having a hissyfit though (registered Republican for 32 years...)

The president’s efforts to exert pressure on the Census Bureau, which is part of the Commerce Department, were also unsuccessful.

In any case, the vast majority of "illegals" would be in southern red states like Texas (which gained 2 seats) and Florida (which gained 1).

I can see it now. Trumps new census reveals that a few red stars lose seats to blue states. Trump immediate fires head of census taking.

This is moot. Trump has no authority to order a new census outside of executing the ten year census required by the Constitution. Only Congress can change it.
