It's an unofficial record because it occurred in the preseason. The official record is still 66 yards by Justin Turner as that was in the regular season. If that kick were in the regular season or postseason it would be an official record.

I kicked a 45 yarder in practice. Off of a 2 inch tee, back when I played in HS. Late 80's. Yay me!!
